20,062 ordained ministers at branches up from 19,829 from last year. So, with some branches downsizing or closing, there's still more "ordained" ministers?

And no doubt, with new arrangement for 30-hr aux. pio. in April, that will show increase for this next year also.

What is an "ordained minister" in JW terms? I thought all baptized JW's were "ordained ministers."

    Yes, as InterestedOne said.

Are not ALL baptised JWs ordained ministers?

There's the reason for the 30 hour requirement for auxiliary pioneering for April 2011.

A 5% drop in APs despite a 2.5% overall increase in publishers.

Hey pioneers! Want the 70 hour monthly requirement to drop to 60 or even 50? Just discourage newbies from pioneering. When the count of regular pioneers gets too low the GB will "see the light" and drop the hour requirement.

Yes, all baptized Witnesses are ordained ministers, but 20K brothers and sisters are members of the Religious Order of Special Full Time Ministers ... I don't remember how it is called exactly.

"Religious Order?" . . . "Ordained Ministers?" I would like to know more about this aspect of the JW org which claims to have no clergy/laity distinction.

I think that count includes branch office staff, special pioneers and traveling overseers (and their wives). Correct me if I'm wrong.
