    Gayle.

What did it show on 2010 report this time?

    Sorry. I don't know.
    I'm an ex- Jehovah's Witness.

That topic is not discussed in my forum.
And, I am not asking of my friends.

Combining congregations has two benefits to the Borg.

One, it eliminates weak or small congregations with few elders and MS by folding them into bigger/stronger congs.

Two, $$$. The eliminated congregation sells a KH and the money goes to the Borg. The new merged congregation is too big for the current hall and so there is either a remodel (which the Borg loans the money for) or another sell off and rebuild (the Borg gets the money from the sale and loans the congregation(s) the money for the new built hall).

    Mad Sweeney ,

I see the point. Now, I think, any future increases from Developing countries, is going to be a burden in financial term to the Watchtower. Because those congragations are too poor to make any meaningful contribution to defray the cost of feeding the many Missionaries. That is my thinking.
