YADDA YADDA- I respect your view of not liking The Doors , but they were talented musicians and songwriters. What music do YOU like if I may ask ? I may think your music sucks as well . Never know. Then again I may like some of your music !
Let me ask you a question - If the Doors were overated as you say because their " drugged out lead singer " died young - what about Jimi Hendrix , Janis Joplin, John Lennon , Kurt Cobain of Nirvana , and the Who drummer Keith Moon ? Were all of those singers and groups overated because these folks died young ( some from drugs ) ? Your way of reasoning seems a bit bizarre
