I will honor the 2 hour silence. But no one will probably notice my absence. (Self depricating talk is fun)
May I suggest our own silent memorial for 911 tomorrow?

I'm gonna be honest with you, I plan to be asleep until about noon, so it's kind of a moot point for me. I will however be doing some volunteer work later in the afternoon, so I am making some effort to do something worthwhile.

I am out of threads, can someone post a thread for me? The topic will be "What will happen if a JW wear flag button on 9/11, tomorrow?" Thanks. If you are willing to do that, PM me to be sure there is only one volunteer to post it for me. Thanks!

This is how I am remembering 9/11.
I will be raising my US flag in the front yard to half staff at daylight in the morning. I spent over an hour this afternoon re-reading three newspapers, (Wall Street Journal, USA Today and the Portland Oregonian) from September 12, 2001. I have saved them in a black plastic bag for almost 9 years and have not opened it until today. I also found in the bag some notes of what happened that day as I tried to figure out how to get home to Portland, OR from Orlando, FL. One is written on the back of a card given me by an Israeli limo driver named Eli Magen of the Absolute Transportation Service. I wrote down one thing he said as he drove me from my hotel to the AmTrac station, "now you will see what we live with".
I find it hard to imagine that anyone who was alive then could forget the day.
