The average JW follows the society because they believe that the society are giving sound advice based on the scriptures. They want to follow the bible, it is after all the word of God and therefore because they believe the WTS is Gods spokesman they listen. The WTS are NOT gods spokesman, that is a lie. The responsibilty therfore lies with the initiator of the lie, the WTS not their followers.
As soon as a follower of the WTS realises that they are propping a lie, the responsibility transfers to them, the have no excuse.
