    If these people would have had first, middle, and last names, we might not have this confusion. And we should assign them Social Security numbers and photo IDs while we're at it.

    Well, John does identify himseld as the apostle or the elder in his letters and is identified as the one whom jesus loved in the GOJ.

    In Revelation, John calls himself John the servant and John the brother.

    I've long wondered why John didn't recognize his Cousin - even if He was in a glorified body.

    As was stated in the Prologue to the GOJ, "We had a view of His glory ..."

    There are some who think "the disciple whom the Lord loved" was Lazarus.

    So much to mull over, and the freedom to do so.

    Yeah I head that too, but that doens't mesh with the Gospel accounts of the last supper, Lazarus was not there.

    It may have been Lazarus who was lying in the bosom position and who was directed to ask the Master who was going to betray Him.

    Let the reader use discernment.
