I grew up in a Boston suburb, but have also lived in California and Florida (for over 20 years) as well. I've been back in Massachusetts for 9 years now... and I'm asked (fairly often) where I'm from. I'm sure I have an accent...but kind of a composite one...

Put me and LeavingWT and snowbird together in one room and you'll have three distinct accents. We're all Southern but we're from different regions.
