  Actually we have a casino just across the NY/Ontario border (less than an hour drive) and there is one just across the Quebec/Ontario border (about a 3 hr drive). I think I can even see the lights of it on a clear night from my apartment window.

  Lady Lee (or more precisely whoever endeavours to do this): nowadays it can be done with Google Maps

  There was an attempt to use frappr.com but it has now disappeared. Google would be a good way to go

  You're on my list. If, or should I say.........when, I get to Canada I want to meet you. If meeting in a casino, is uncomfortable, any where nearby is fine.

  C1, I feel pretty sure that you're sincere in your efforts but I hope you understand when too many people won't jump up and down with joy at your request for a map of where all the posters are.

  Personally, I don't want to be on it. While I have given my region away, I reserve the privilege of identifying my exact location to only people that I choose to. In all the time I've been here, only a very few people have ever been given that information. No offense, but you haven't met the requirements for me to give you any personal information. Maybe in time, but not right now.

  If I'm that particular about who I give such personal info to, then it only stands to reason that I'm not in favor of a map or database that identifies locations of all posters...unless it is voluntary and one has to ask to be put on it, leaving it easy for the majority of us to opt out.

  I don't mind going into the casino but it is hard to get there for me because if the wheelchair (the special buses don't cross to the other side of the border)

  If you are planning a trip or want to try to meet up with board members in your area, consider putting a new post in the Apostafest section citing your (pending) location. Then suggest a date or two and see who responds.

  That way people are not put on the spot to respond to unsolicited pm's requesting a meeting from a stranger.

  Those that *are* interested can contact you - even if they are normally in an unknown location.

  There are many of us who have done and made contact with board members while travelling or just meeting up with others in a 50 miles (or more) radius.

  The wheel chair is no problem. We can meet anywhere where your privacy and safety are assured.

  Casinos (in the U.S. anway) are notorious for getting people in the door.....regardless. They are experts at extracting money from everyone.

  This thread is deja vu. I used to post heavy on another board (non-religious in nature). I was following this one person. He is a master at his talents. He said 1/2 of all of the questions and posts came from me. He wrote multiple articles on my posts. He wrote a book. But when I wanted to meet him in person he refused to me. That's when I said no more "solely dedicated to posting" if I can't meet the person.

  He gave me the "hook up" about 6 months ago, to become a member of a paid subscription board. His good words about me, alone, will let me subscribe without cost.

  The rumor is he is a Canadian. He is succesful. I must see his skills with my own eyes.

  Canada is on the list.
