The WT has never made a public apology for anything... not miracle wheat, not organ prohibition, not child abuse, and certainly not this. Think about it, does "God's sole channel on earth" apologize?

I am not with the JWs, but I do highly respect Charles Taze Russell as a Bible Student. Therefore, I am posting regarding the "miracle wheat" only.

The ones who should apologize concerning miracle wheat are "The Eagle" and those who have joined with the "The Eagle" in distorting the facts to make it appear that Russell had done something wrong. "The Eagle" bears the greatest responsibility in this, more so than those who repeat The Eagle's distortions; nevertheless, others often embellish The Eagle's distortions with more distortions of their own.

Russell, of course, never believed in an "authoritarian" organization such as the JWs.

Russell was selling a lot of ideas which were wrong and I will give him credit that maybe just maybe he believed his own crap until the day he died but he was not as honest as bs or jws potray him. Miracle wheat published in a magazine that was preaching an end of the world and God's blessing...hmmm sounds like typical deception just as wts does today. How many of his followers bought into this miracle wheat thinking that the end is near and maybe Russell knew this wheat would fill the earth mountain tops? "A sucker is born every minute" so they say. Just as today how many wts followers go and try to get their donations back? And if some did would you hear about it? Likewise with Russell, just because he said something doesn't make it true that he would return all the money to unhappy customers. Besides who sued who? Wasn't Russell suing the eagle for libel and wasn't it Russell who lost in actual court not some kangaroo court run by jws over their own people? Eagle revealed dirt on Russell and even not all may have been without distortion, Russell didn't come out looking innocent by any means. Same with his business with Logan, Land and Whitehouse (russell vs russell) denial only to be proven a lier in court. I don't believe that Russell didn't benefit from miracle wheat as it's obvious he was a busnessman and he surely didn't look like he missed an oppertunity which would benefit watch tower Russell.

Bible students like jws still back their fraudulent leader(s) as if he/they didn't do anything wrong. R

Finally-Free, yes, I remember this account. And it has actually been touched on in Wt or Awakes since. I think even in a Wt article maybe last year or the year before, the thought had changed in that if you were overcome with fear and couldn't scream, then you wouldn't be in trouble. I remember as a child saying to my parents that it wasn't fair that if you were just so scared you couldn't scream, that the brothers would haul you in the back room. I was glad when the view changed, but it's only been in recent years.
