Ironically, the people who have the most to say on Twitter or Facebook are those actually doing stuff in the real world.
This is a good observation. There are a number of professionals and enthusiasts on Twitter, who are offering up some some interesting and/or useful knowledge.
Much like email, the practical value of Twitter depends upon the people using it. It ranges from worthless to (possibly) lifesaving. Although it's been around for a few years, the full potential hasn't been reached and there remain endless possibilities.
