Ah this was fun. What a variety of observations.

I remember listening to Nathan Knorr at War Memorial Stadium late at night. I was so excited to be able to hear the president.......until he started talking. WHAT A SNORE! Boringinst speaker ever.

I was sitting the the front row upper deck and fell asleep. I dreamt that I fell over the railing and did one of those akward panic shrieks with flaying arms and legs. People six rows deep were laughing their asses off for 10 min.

To me the 8 day assemblies were like Woodstock. Very memorial and impossible to repeat.

Yep, 8 days in 1969. We went to the one in Vancouver, BC. Ungodly hot (at least to me). We stayed in a 6-person trailer (no bathroom, had to walk to it) with another family: total people, 13.

I was nine years old. That's when I met Fred Franz, who was at that time the vice-president of the WT.
