How Are JW's Sins Forgiven?

JW sins are held in abeyance, so to speak, and paid for upon their death

I do not know the JW beliefs, in fact most JWs don't know them ("Jesus is the mediator for only the 144, 000" for example) but if this is the current light™ then one verse shows that up for the falsehood it is

    Ephesians 2:1-7 (New International Version)

    Made Alive in Christ
1 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. Or this verse

    Colossians 3 (New International Version)

    Rules for Holy Living
1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. It is all past tense, all done, the ransom has been paid in full already and I sit in the heavenly realm with Christ at the right hand of the Father. All that one need to do is ask make Jesus Lord. This WT doctrine once again denies Christ' sacrifice and His Lordship. "Jesus is Lord" Romans 10:9 1 Corinthians 12:3 Believe, profess and act accordingly-simple. All the best, Stephen

Chalam, yes that is correct. JWs are not saved- they must endure to the end and HOPE that Jehovah judges that they have done enough in 'assisting Christ's brother"- which in JWland translates to follwing the commands of the GB. Adam's sin was paid for by Jesus death, that's it. Salvation is by extension, due to their close association with the annointed, which again, translates to close adherence to the org, and GB mandates.

    DD,

This shows the shallow decisions that some xjws are making and exposes the Fundamentalist community for what they are.

As Jw we are forgiven through the ransome sacrifice of Jesus, if truly repentent. Jehovah does not call to mind the account after, so yes we are forgiven during this system and if we know we have led a truly clean life and been repentent, confessed sins when needed, lived according to Jehovahs standards then we are forgiven and clearly going through into the new system. Humility makes us not want to say for sure....humility being a loving quality of Jesus which many jw have too.

Not exactly accurate AE. The ransom puts JW in a postion where they can earn God's favor and have their sins forgiven. It (according to the GB) ONLY paid for Adam's sin.

It helped level the scales, so to speak, A perfect man sinned so a perfect man needed to level the scales, when Jesus accomplished that we were then forgiven. The ones who have died have paid for their sins, the new system is our reward.....everyones reward :)

The Wt teaches that Jesus paid for Adam’s sin and we pay for our own sins when we die. When we are resurrected onto the "paradise earth" we will be resurrected in a sinless condition. Those faithful-to-the governing-body Witnesses who, according to the WT, will be considered worthy enough to live through Armageddon will be absolved of their sins after enduring the final test at the end of the millenial reign. That is their official teaching. The words you threw in above are similar to words the Wt will use to fluff up their own teaching with but I have just stated above their doctrine on the matter.

You said it there AE, that's pretty much the GB dogma in a nutshell. Of course, the teaching that Jesus leveled the scale, was a perfect and exact weight to balance what Adam did is not scriptural....summarily neither is the teaching that Jesus died for Adam's sin and not all of our personal sins.

How does your superstition do that?

It's done in degrees using as a yardstick what is known as a "Monthly Field Service Report" and it's all Bible-Based(tm).
