My mother is really sick--vocal chord disorder

  I'm sorry that she's experiencing this...I've never heard of the disorder before and it sounds like a very frightning problem to have. Here are some references to it (maybe the first the webpage you referred to):

  I wonder, if the treatments are therapy-based, it might be that for some reason they take longer to take effect in her case and might still have some benefit if they are still pursued. What does her doctor think?

  My heart goes out to you and your mom. I would be in a panic if I had to go through what she is experiencing, I would also feel paniced and helpless if I had to watch some one I loved go through an attack. I sincerely hope she finds something that works for her.
