Shouldn't cost too much to have it ground out. Burning stumps is a lot of work.

My friends put pieces of the tree they cut down in front of their yard with a sign that said "free wood." Someone came and hauled a lot of it away in their pickup. No problem.

Hollow it out and put some perrenial plants in it.
I asked my wife about this and her face lit up. So it looks a go.
I'll wait until next spring when the stomp completely dries out and start chistling it, while making sure the walls stays thick enough not to fall apart and such. Prolly sandpaper the walls for smoothness and then put potting spoil in it and put plants in it.
