John the Baptizer, uggh, should be in the list of annoying words of jw's.
'The Christ', this is where they lose outsiders completely in my opinion. To Christians or even agnostics (throw in a few athiests as well) they understand that Christ is a person not a person + a group. To refer to Jesus as 'the Christ' is just weird to an outsiders ear and leaves them shaking their head trying to understand what the heck a jw is saying because they have no idea what jw's really think of Jesus. Mix in the Jesus/Michael thing, no bodily resurrection, etc... and outsiders will question what Jesus or Messiah are they talking about? Even to those who do not believe in the bible understand the jw christ is not the Christ of the bible they are familiar with.
