I'm sorry. I had danced so much that I got tired and went to bed.

I was a teen in the 80's, but loved the sounds of the 60 and 70's. My rock hero's are all pensioners now or dead - RIP Richard Wright and Sid Barrett.

I used to go to the matinee for 25 cents. Usually a double feature and a cartoon. My favorites were Disney, Beach Party and Elvis Movies.

Frankie Avalon is 69 and Annette Funicello is 66. If that don't make you feel old.....

I realized I was getting older when I started disliking the younger crowds' music and of course, some of their fashion . But then I realized that I've always been like that... ya know... I like some stuff, don't like others. Doesn't get me off the hook though... I am still getting older (aw dang!).

So for some older stuff, here's one of my faves - Three Dog Night "Shambala":

And for some newer stuff, I am totally digging King's Of Leon "Sex On Fire":

I still keep up with modern music. I have learned to be chameleon-like.

I remember forcing myself to adjust in the 90s to bands like Smashing Pumpkins. I didn't fully appreciate "Siamese Dream" the first time I heard it but for me it now ranks up there with the all-time best albums ever made.

Since then, as music changes, I still try to change with it- because I love the whole history of rock and roll. I can appreciate Elvis as much as I can Animal Collective.

Many of my favorite bands, like the Beatles, were before my time anyway.

Good music is timeless. If it's real, you'll feel it no matter when it came out.
