How long does the Society or Christians say, "man has been on earth?" according to the Bible.

How long does Scientist say, "man has existed on earth?" which can be reasonably proven.

How does the Neanderthals fit into the picture of the Bible?

Was Adam a Neanderthal or a Homo Sapien?

No, the Bible completely contradicts scientific evidence.

There is more proof than can be discussed on an Internet forum, but the public library might have some books you'd be interested in.

Or for a fun adventure, read up on all the misquotes of scientists the wts put in their books on the subject.

You're asking specific questions which could easily lead to 100 more questions....it would be much easier to ask what in the Bible IS true about the origin of the universe and species. The list is much shorter than the list of inaccuracies.

    Q. How long does the Society or Christians say, "man has been on earth?" according to the Bible.

    A. WTS chronology puts Adam's creation date at 4026 BCE.

    Q. How long does Scientist say, "man has existed on earth?" which can be reasonably proven.

    A. http://www.becominghuman.org/

    Q. How does the Neanderthals fit into the picture of the Bible?

    A. The word "Neaderthal" is not found in the Bible. Interestingly, Neanderthal fossils are generally shorter in stature than those of Homo sapiens, so the Biblical reference to "giants" and Nephilim wouldn't fit the description of these extinct hominids.

    Q. Was Adam a Neanderthal or a Homo Sapien?

    A. Adam (the one in Genesis) is a fictional character.

    An interesting view:

Adam was not the first homosapien, but the first Man to know God, to be, if I can use thew term, "Enlightened" to the presence of God.

We know that there were many creatures created before Adam, including primative man.

We must venture to make the bible be cohesive with proven history, not the other way around, and we can do this, its just a matter of trying to understand what was being written.

The creation of Man doesn't have to go against evolution, one really has nothing to do with the other if we view the "creation" of Adam as an "awakening" of Adam.

Lucy, the oldest known homonid, lived arround 3.2 million years ago. She was not a homo sapien. It is thought that the first homo sapiens (humans) first lived arround 200,000 years ago. Definately in contradiction to the bible.

The three oldest versions of the Old Testament, Samaritan, Hebrew, and Greek do not even agree on the number of years (added up by ages of the patriarchs) - respectively 1307, 1656, and 2,242 years.

And bear in mind that if you take this literally, (just picking one, like James Ussher) you are also accepting that ancient (or at least circa 4500 bc) people actually lived 600, 900 or so many years.

You are also ignoring the fact that early carved bone artifacts such as the Uganda-Zaire counting stick date to 9,000 bc; and that similar others far older have been found...the Magdelian (French) era from 15,000 bc, and the Czech Aurignacian era to 30,000 bc.

Although the witnesses hate scientific dating methods, the science is quite sound and there is little reason to doubt the antiquity of these obviously human artifacts.

What do the bible has to say about subject-verb agreement?

The bible was written before we knew anything about our ancient history, so it isn't very surprising that science & the bible don't agree.
