TOO BAD, TOO SAD- It truly is criminal that children sitting in a public building have to hear oral and anal sex being discussed among adults. It almost makes a person want to call child protective services to report the elders if you knew when this information is going to be discussed. Have a representative show up while it's being discussed. The ramifications of THAT would be interesting- to say the least

For the teenages in attendance. the speaker also had some goodies for

their benefit. He talked about self-pleasuring one self which is known as

masterbatiion. I just wanted to crawl under my seat. There were two

people in attendance who are Bible studies. I wonder what they were thinking?

When talking about oral or anal sex the basis for their defense

is the greek word pornia. He said that oral and anal sex are forms of pornia

which are homosexual acts are detestable to Jehovah. Homosexuals also

kiss on the lips, hug, hold hands and sleep together. Are those acts also destable to God?

In time I will go to a place of worship where I will learn about the love of God and

his Son, where it is not taboo to help those who are not JW's. This religion is

known for its fraudlent prophecies to suport their false hopes.

Mate, your wife needs to know that the Bible takes precedence over what the Governing Body says! If God inspired the Bible Song of Solomon is contained therein, he musta wanted us to know that sex between married couples is cool and that anything goes within that arrangement.

This topic as A Public Talk on Sunday morning does not seem appropriate on so many levels

@ purps - some churches have seminars about adult topics. Obviously they're likely to be in the evening and are advertised as such and children aren't exactly going to be there....

I believe there can be an open and honest forum on adult issues among Christians, but there's a time and a place.

This is what troubles me about the way the organization teaches, there are no discussions, the info is put out there, repeated from the paragraph, and there is no question and answer afterwards. The only time this is done is when you are studying to become a JW.

The organization wants you to only use their literature and now they don't want people to have their own private studies, unless it is a Family Study. Alot of witnesses have no family to study with!!!!

I just found it very frustrating the way they teach.

Lol load of rubbish thread by a person who doesn't know the meaning of fornication!

Fornication = sex outside of marriage.

this was a talk (if it happenned last sinday which I doubt probs a few months back) clearly trying to get the younger members not to engage in fornication acts just short of sex. and you will have to show proof from recent years to make it apply to married couples because I am 100 percent certain they say what is between couple is between them now these days. and you will have to go back 30+ years when the whole world was more conservative in culture to get articles that relate to more.

Reniaa, wrong again. The last commented on the issue of oral and anal copulation outwith the marriage bonds in 2007. The article referenced the earlier Watch Tower Society policy forbidding such copulation between consenting married adults.

Was the world more conservative when Song of Solomon was written? Was that longer that say, 30 years ago?
