I remember vacation pioneering. And people actually did it too! I could never understand it.

"mature" Dubs always referred to the big, summertime district events as "conventions" and the other smaller circuit events as "assemblies" or "special assembly days"
"immature" Dubs didn't make any distinction and would frequently refer to the district event as an "assembly"
listening to the lingo was one of the way's you could ferret out the "spiritual babes" from the those who "understood the deep things of God"

I liked how the show Breaking Amish, shows the Amish repeatedly using the word worldly. All non Amish are caalled English, or Worldly. I watched the show with my wife and I could tell it was weird for her to see "worldly" people using the term worldly. I told her that they actually are less a part of the world than we are.

My biggest bugbear is the bastardisation of the word 'Truth' - something they share with the Soviets who called their propaganda rag 'Pravda' meaning Truth
The other one is 'brother' and 'sister' to denote a special relationship of mutual indoctrination - why not use 'Comrade'?
