O.K. Now it's in the news. It's a lot more public than it would have been.

I think her kids (18 and 20) already knew what was going on with their mother. I find her excuse of wanting to protect her children to be a bit disingenuous.

Now, she says, church elders have given her the worst ultimatum yet: In a Dec. 8 letter, they told her she either has to meet with them and end her "immoral" relationship or she will face public humiliation.

I think she should go and when the dickheads 'publically humiliate' her, she should stand up and cry out to the moron who's on stage: "You told me that if I gave you a blowjob you wouldn't report me!!" and then storm out in a huff.

Okay she signed up to hang out with a social club that has specific rules.

She came to a fork in the road and strayed from those adherences, she tried to return but was unable.

She then DAd herself to the 'leaders' ........ at that point the stupid men should have dropped the matter.

She went 'out' from them......... that is when all their tactics should have turned to a prodigal son POV.

SOME men can be soooooo controlling!

Hmmm I wonder if they went to boyfriends doorstep asking him to join the church and speaking to him about morals? Exactly how far did these men go to 'save' this woman and man in order to keep their congregation clean?

Don't get me wrong, I can be fundy in my mentality but sometimes people don't know when to stop hurling stones and start sending prayers. No one is above sin, it is just some sins are more specifically addressed in the bible then others.

Hate the sin, Love the sinner

Things like this make we wonder how many people knew that David had committed adultery, had the husband killed, and was shown "mercy" under a law that made no provision for it?

Misogynist, anal-retentive men with too little power and too little to do, so they carve out a little section of the world to exercise tyranny over.

Sure, her kids know what's going on. Or at least they do now that this has hit the news. But it's one thing to know what their mother is doing with her boyfriend (they probably don't care). And it's another to be sitting in church and hearing their mother crucified from the pulpit. And who knows how these psychos will treat her kids afterwards?

If they're willing to demand this woman break up with her boyfriend, what's next for the kids? Demand that they stop talking to their mother? Did the kids know about what their mom was doing and not speak up? Then some might see them as accomplices. If they're willing to chase this woman down after she has severed ties with the church just to humiliate her, yeah, I would fear for those kids too.

I wonder if they would be treating a man like this? I'm pretty sure if it was me I would make it very clear to that pastor that if he did'nt drop it he would surely need the help of god by the time I was done with him !
