Green stamps

awww...memories, I remember my mom got green stamps at Foodlion Grocery Store, she would give them to me, I'd lick'em and stick'em in a book.
Finally I had enough to my an AM handheld radio, I was in the 6th grade and thought I was all that.

In the UK these were Green Shield stamps:

They were based on the US ones from Sperry & Hutchinson, S&H Green stamps
They only managed a relatively short existence in the UK from1958 to 1991
Think we still have some in the loft somewhere!

I hate to admit it because it reveals how old I'm getting but yes I remember green stamps. It was so much fun trading them in for stuff. Never donated any to the KH that I know of.
