    "Romeo and Juliet"

Well I guess we'll never know

Just what our love was meant to be.

I just want to let go

From what my eyes have seen.

    The hatred all around

It steals the life from inside my heart.

So leave me to be found

So close to you but so far apart.

    Now we're leaving this world

    To sort out among itself

Just what a name is worth.

Right now we're too far gone to tell.

So I look into your eyes

And I see you paid the final debt.

    We say our last goodbyes

And leave this world just like Romeo and Juliet.

    What Children Can Tell us

What children can tell us, If we look in their eyes, Is whether they are happy, and feeling loved. The eyes do not hide, What the words cannot say, They mirror the feelings, Hidden below. Darting, shaded evasive eyes, Insecurity, downcast looks, Vacant, unfocused, No glimmer of soul. Inside just an empty hole Look in their eyes, It’s in faces you’ll see Their sadness and pain, Look in their eyes They’re all the same Buried inside is a child so sad.

    Silence

    Silence of the mind
    Calms the troubled thoughts
    Stirred up within the soul
    And brings wisdom from within.

    Silence of the mouth
    Can halt an angry word
Give time to ponder and explain
The hurt from whence it came.

    Silence of the hands
    Halts the artist`s soul
For words or clay or paint
    Find expression just this way.

    Silence of the heart
    Closes off the soul
We cannot fly or ride a wave
    Or soar upon the clouds.

and one more of my favorites

    Rejoice

Rejoice in the healing and not in the pain.
Rejoice in the challenge overcome and not in the past hurts.
Rejoice in the present - full of love and joy.
Rejoice in the future for it is filled with new horizons yet to be explored.

When I was a child this was our prayer at the supper table:

"God we thank you for this food,

For rest, and home, and all things good,

For wind, and rain, and sun above,

But most of all, for those we love."

    I've always liked it.

As a witness I was raised.

Finding out it was not all truth, I was amazed.

    Standing for truth 100 percent.

Never expecting not even a cent.

Always telling the one at the door,

God's kingdom is at hand, would you like to hear more?

So here I am with hopes torn from my mind.

How did I miss it? Why was I so blind?

For all I can do is face each day

Just try to be happy, I hope that I may.
