Guys, do you ever lose the guysie factor in your life?

At one time I did everything on my vehicals. Replaced engines, transmissions and axle gears.

With age and a higher income, I started buying new cars and I refuse to work on them. I'll add windshield washer fluid and that's it!

I still do a lot of home owner stuff. Tomorrow I have to replace an outside faucet and an inside valve. My only problem with doing this is I'm afraid of setting the house on fire. Very tight space to work in with a torch.

My weekend: replace wiper motor, pull dead shrub, replace toilet fill valve, and dust the furniture. Dusting was the hardest job.

I guess it's like losing my girly factor. I hate housework, dresses, sitting with my knees squished together all prim and proper like, scrapbooking, obsessing about make-up (I'll wear it on special occasions and work), frills, and pink bathrooms make me sick.

Fortunately for you, there are now some great girlie products for no-sweat sweat joints. No more running for the hose to put out a lit 2x4 just cuz you're out of practice at pointing a torch.

    Hey john Doe...

You can always buy a hot new car! No maintenance needed....just a hand wash once in awhile......

Look at something called "Sharkbite" connectors. They are solderless--just push them together, and they work on cpvc, copper and Pex. They are also reusable.

Been thinking about a motorcycle, perhaps a Suzuki m50, soon as I save a few bucks. ;-)
