Jesus' message differs from every other religious leader of his day in that he encouraged his followers to LOVE THEIR ENEMY.

Are Jw's encouraged to Love their enemies?

They aren't allowed to even pray for disfellowshipped former brethern although they are stray sheep. You'll recall Jesus said that a fine shepherd would even leave the 99 sheep to go after and return with the "stray".

How do JW's love their enemies?

11 Haters of God and his people are to be hated, but this does not mean that we will take any opportunity of bringing physical hurt to them in a spirit of malice or spite, for both malice and spite belong to the Devil, whereas pure hatred does not. We must hate in the truest sense, which is to regard with extreme and active aversion, to consider as loathsome, odious, filthy, to detest. Surely any haters of God are not fit to live on his beautiful earth. The earth will be rid of the wicked and we shall not need to lift a finger to cause physical harm to come to them, for God will attend to that, but we must have a proper perspective of these enemies. His name signifies recompense to the enemies.

By looking at their homes and dreaming about how great it will be when they get to live there in pair-o-dice.

I don't really think they do.

I think they teach to love your enemies on a certain level, and as a previous poster mentioned - they associate this thought with preaching to them with a view to bringing them in to "the truth".

But when it comes down to it - I personally do not feel that your average JW loves his enemies.

In fact I think quite the opposite is true.

I believe that JW's hate their enemies to a greater degree than the average person does.

    Why?

Because JW's dehumanize the general population.

    They label them as "wordly"

They label them as "marked for destruction".

It is much easier to hate someone whom you feel God hates so much that HE plans on killing them soon.

So there you have it. The answer, generally speaking is NO. There are always exceptions of course, but as a general rule, that is my opinion.

Not in the way one would think. They have inverted the levels of love (what else is new among that organization) so that the most impersonal form becomes the highest. That allows Jehovah to show outright contempt and still claim to "love" that person.

It is the same in the washtowel slaveholdery. They show that devalued "agape" toward worldly people by going out and bringing them into the cancer, but are not allowed to show more personal love toward any of them. They are bashing them as "filthy pigs that are worthy of destruction", demonizing them, and are stingy toward them. They tip with wastes of paper, they have no charities despite claiming charity status, and they will not help worldly people in crisis without having them guilted into joining. To me, that is not pure love (pure love is not just the impersonal "agape" that the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger showcases).

I don't even think they have love for their own kind--especially the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger.

Is wordly a play on words or a common misspelling for worldly? I notice that a lot in posts on JWD.

Some JW's do in fact love their enemies and really do try to follow Christian principals as spoken of through the scriptures.

    HOWEVER...............
I know a LOT of JW's that are judgmental, arrogant, self centered, and so sure of their correctness that they would not hesitate in killing anyone that did not agree with them, IF the could get away with it.

As with any such group of people, you will find some that are sincere and try really hard, and others that seek to control others
and are pious in their thinking and actions.

Course, I could be wrong. Screw it!! Let's have some pie!!
