In Foxnews reports show the USA has and will continue to spend 1 Trillion dollars on the war effort. With no end in site in either country for maybe the next 10 years, do you think they could have avioded this and spent this elsewhere...can you imagine 900 Billion spent on American healthcare or homeland security?

I've read projections that say the U.S. will eventually spend $3 trillion when all is said and done.
Imagine dropping that much on rebuilding the infrastructure, or health care, or paying down the national debt.
Bush, Cheney & Rumsfeld have a helluva lot to answer for, but sadly they'll never be called to account for it.

The problem is that it is just more debt. It shouldn't have been spent in the first place, on anything.

I'd hazzard a guess that there are far more fundamentalist muslims who want to blow up America now than there were before.

A vicious circle...the war created more terrorists. The money could be spent on airport security and border patrol etc.

That depends entirely on what types of companies you were invested in back in 2000 or 2001 ;) It hasn't just been a good investment for some Americans, it's been a great investment for some Americans.
