I did (I'm DF'd for it now), my dad did, my aunts did, my cousin did, all my friends did, and just last night I was told that my little cousin was on PUBLIC reproof for it, and she got asked all kinds of probing questions. Apparently one elder on the committee asked her if they were watching pornography during. She and her witness BF of like 3 years went and confessed, no one knew about it, except me, and I wasn't telling anyone, yet they still got public reproof. Apparently that same jackass elder told her that she would be destroyed, and how angry Jehovah is with her. Here she is a very shy, timid 19 year old kid, and he's grilling her about all kinds of different intimate matters.

He was on my committee too, and kept asking about anal sex, which I thought was really strange, he also asked me about porn.

Heavy petting once before I was baptized with my first ex. He was baptized and quite a bit older than me (I was 16, and he was 25). Coming from the world, I didn't think it was bad, so I didn't confess to the elders before, during or after the marriage.

Nope i did not. But i really should have, my exJW hubby and I had an incredibly bad sex life.

My current hubby and I lived together some time before marraige.

Getting married as virgins is stupid, stupid, stupid.

All you JWs who are reading this, if you commit a sin, confess your sin in prayer to God ONLY. Forget about the elders. They have sins too, but they keep them to themselves.

I thought I'd point this out because I thought it was funny:

I was told that in the most recent assembly (can't remember if it was SD or CA) there was a talk about not drinking alcoholic beverages while on a date, whether you are chaperoned or not, whether it was with a meal or not.

The problem, so it was explained, is that the single "drink" might dull your senses and increase your risk for "sexual misconduct."

So there you have it. Alcohol is now BANNED on dates!

My ex and I had a chasteā„¢ engagement. Big mistake.

I'll join the "hump before you jump" camp.

    why???

I remember a number 3or 4 talk on the school a few months ago that basically said those catholics that go to confess their sins to the priest are doing something useless because those men are not god, that they should be confessing to God. I couldn't help thinking right then how hypocritical that was of them to say they shouldn't confess to MEN but witness have to confess their sins to ELDERS...those damn double standards!

If I had to guess, I would say something like 30% do it before they get married, it's more common than most people think, but a lot of them reason they are about get married, etc.

I know of a few I grew up with and a lot more that I had suspicions about too.

I don't think it is a requirement to have sex before marriage, but sexually compatibility is important in any relationship, so you need to make sure you are both on the same page in that regard.
