How far back can you go?

    BTS

Maternal - 1850? - Dallas County Alabama plantation records.

Paternal - 1880. It is alleged that my great grandfather was White, also from Dallas County. I can't find anything to substantiate that claim save for some of us having very pale skin coloring.

Two answers to your question came quickly to mind.

A joking one: I already do!

And a serious one: The mystery is enough for me.

I do have an insatiable curiosity about so many things. I never get bored.

I have taken in back to the mid-1800's as well. But none here in the US!

On my father's side, two of my GGP's are Galician, and the other two are Balearic Islanders.

On my mother's side, Cuba (as far back as I have gone), Andalusia, and the Canary Islands.

(My wife swears there has to be a little African in my family tree.)

    Pandora's Box.

To desire and strive for understanding and clarity is part of what makes us human.

We may discover things that are painful or bewildering in our search( Ignorance is bliss.), but we still remain curious and thirsty for more.

OK, I really didn't need to know that...lol

What fun would it be to know everything? It would be boring and lonely!

I guess your wife's lucky, but I read that the extra inch doesn't really matter.

Maybe by the time I die. But I think it's our job to learn and never stop learning.

    Right.

I like this from Wilco's Wishful Thinking...

Fill up your mind with all it can know
Don't forget that your body will let it all go
Fill up your mind with all it can know
What would we be without wishful thinking
