I have literally given hundred's of blood transfusions in the 16 yrs I've been a nurse. 99% of the time that someone dies after recieving blood....it's not from the blood, but from something else. By that I mean, major trauma, cardiac arrest, something other than the blood infusing.
My parents were willing to let my little sister die when she was 4. By a miracle, she survived. I can't imagine what I would have done, had she not. I still remember my parents parading her around town like a side-show......makes me wanna gag!!
