When I left the congregation in 2001 the society was pressuring Elders and ministerial servants to get people to the book studies because the numbers were dropping off steadily. I imagine they feel by incorporating the three meetings on one night it will cut down on absenteeisms. There for they will believe they have bigger numbers to show and feel confident at. As for Saturday service it will likely be all the KH all the time from now on. I once wondered why we had so many meeting it just felt so unnecessary and dumb. Heavens looking back I am so thankful I'm out of that crap now.
