Would you have had a good conscience at the meetings if you would have given or taken blood, and knowingly broken a JW law?

Basically, what I'm asking is, "Would you have been able to have a good conscience as a JW, although you know you did something you deserve to get disfellowshipped for.

I don't think that everyone at the meetings agrees 100% on everything. They may act as if they do in order to look obedient, but my question is just to find out if your conscience was bothered if you did something really wrong, but deep down inside, you didn't think it was wrong, but you knew the other JW's wouldn't have done that action because they were told it was wrong.

Yeah, it wouldn't bother me. I never agreed with the "no-blood" doctrine. I would feel horrible if I let my
wife or child die without needed blood. The WTBTS is taking that scripture way out of context.

When I was a JW I would not have had a good conscience if I did anything that was against their "rules" thats why I didn't stay in and drifted away because I couldn't live up to everything. I am NOT a hypocrite. I thought it was the truth but my conscience was bothering me when I even thought things against the teachings so I just left. I thought I would die at Armageddon but I could NOT live up to all the rules and regulations. YOU can't imagine how relieved I was when just recently I discovered I am not condemmed anymore. They aren't the Truth.

    WOW.

I did a lot that I could have been DF'd for, but there is only one things that sat with me and really bothered me... and that is because it bothered my conscience outside of rules and regulations. It was wrong, period. I don't need a religion to tell me that.

The other stuff though, yeah... I had no problem living with and still don't :)

At one time I would have felt guilty if not doing things JW approved. Now my conscience is my own again and not subject to others rules.

I think it's worse for Brothers who have to give talks about a subject that they are guilty of. I can't imagine
giving a talk about how playing violent video games was evil, but yet I play Rainbow Six Vegas at home on
the internet (multiplayer) and have a great time.

Yeah, giving talks on a subject that you are told is wrong is extremely hypocritical.

My brother-in-law gave a talk about pornography, but he readily admits he still has trouble giving up porn.
I believe most of the people in the congregation live their lives the same way - having a private side, but
when they are at the KH they show their righteous side. Two lives.

I have done things that would be viewed as disfellowshipping offenses. I still do. For some reason it doesn't bother me. In my opinion they are only viewed as offensive by the organization.

Apart from the obviously wrong things like MURDER, I now know that the Gibbering Buddy for years had members who practised every other wrong thing. They were never removed.

    Bonny and Bertha

    Booze

    Blood

I could go on and on...

If they could stay in Bethel, I needn't feel guilty that I don't go door to bore, when I have never cheated defrauded or done any underhanded thing to another human being in my life. This is why I was so hurt and angry when reality began checking in on me about the "TROOF".

When I bother going to the Hell now, I just sneer inside when I see another bit of manipulative control. Lady Lee gave us a lot of good stuff on that.

When I was in, I felt bad about normal human desires that are common to all man. Now, if something does not involve initiating the use of force, threat of force, or fraud against another person or their property, I have no problem with it.

Some of those things that are wrong with the tower but do not involve initiating force, threat of force, or fraud and I am now doing are celebrating Christmas with all the decorations, using holiday greetings when appropriate, posting on apostate forums to expose the Watchtower for its own initiatory fraud, possessing a Ouija board, possessing a copy of Crisis of Conscience, and having lesbian porn on my computer. And, blowing off every single boasting session (yes, I intend to blow off the Crapmorial totally this year--again.)
