I like serendipity also ("part of the pleasure of looking for treasure is the wonderful things you find along the way.") Pipsissewa is a favorite. Aardvark is a favorite, don't know why. Onomatopoeia is a good one - only because I know what it means. But I guess my all time favorite word is incanabula. I first read it in a Dorothy Sayers mystery (Lord Peter Wimsy collects incanabula)and I first heard it at the Huntington Library and Museum where they have an astounding collection of incanabula including a Gutenberg Bible and an original Audubon folio. There, finished showing off. (Ducking whipped cream pies that are whizzing past my head!)

Hortensia - I was just speaking of the Huntington Library yesterday. I love it there. I visited 2 years ago and the aloe were in bloom. I got so many stunning pictures there. I went because I knew they had a Guttenberg Bible and and for the Audobon. I was amazed at the beauty of the different gardens. I think I spent close to 2 hours in the cacti gardens alone. Have you eaten at the little tea cottage? It's wonderful.
