You really do have the right to decide your life, and I know that's contrary to what we were told all our lives, but it is YOURS and you can do it and be a good person and a good citizen and have a happy life, that is, afterall, why we're here.

You;ll find all kinds here, I'm the of the "crazy as hell" kind. I don't beleive any of the bible as far as God having anything to do with it, but you'll find those here that do. I've always liked John as does Momzcrazy, just don't consider it divine. But I think, Momz is trying to say that the real Jesus can be found in John and I'd have to agree, not trying to speak for Momz just putting imput.

That being said, the real Jesus has nothing to do with the WT or the religion that calls itself the JW's. Sure they've got somethings right, but some things they gotten worng. You can be the judge for yourself what to beleive, and man what a happy thing that is... Best part of all, you won't be disfellowshipped from this site becasue you've disagreed with someone. Keep it cool sis. Huff

Bless your heart. You seem to be at a crossroads and are a deer stuck in headlights. Take some time to really read the bible on your own with prayer. You draw close to Him, He draws close to you. There is really no need for the little men in black (GB).

The only time He actually helped me was when I stopped praying to get back into the org. I finally prayed for some understanding and I got a measure of it. I don't understand everything, but I got enough to keep from going crazy.

Take things slow and open your eyes. It's almost like waking up in the morning, the light hurts----at first.

If I can help you in any way, PM me--that goes for anyone on this board. Of course, I could be god for a day and not answer--lol (humor--okay?)

You have really been through the ringer.

You are not alone. Many people on this board have gone through similar things. Being in the JWs can be one crazy experience.

At this point you believe the teachings of the Watchtower, but are having problems reconciling that with the behavior of people in the group.

You really should think about this question. Is it really the "truth"? If it is not the truth, how will I figure out it's not?

I would suggest you read Crisis of Conscience by Raymond Franz. It's where many of us on this board started. From there we found out that many of the struggles where were suffering from came from places other than ourselves.

We are here to be of assistance to you. Ask questions, detailed questions. We can help you along the way.
