Knowing That I'm Losing You" (aka "Tangerine") by the Yardbirds

NB: It's kind of the holy grail for Yardbirds fans. Supposedly it was released briefly on Cumular Limit and then withdrawn (with all remaining copies destroyed).
Wasn't that on the Yardbirds Live album that Jimmy Page had pulled? If it is, I have a good copy of the whole album :)

Nope, this was a studio track, not the live album which I already have. Having listened now to "Knowing That I'm Losing You," I think if you forget for a moment that the song is "Tangerine," I think I now notice why Jimmy Page didn't want it released....the singing on it really falls flat in the chorus (off-key backing vocals). My boyfriend, who doesn't know Led Zep really, thought "Knowing" sounds atrocious. The melody is awesome, the same as in "Tangerine", but the singing leaves something to be desired imho. It's still a real trip hearing it, mind-blowing to hear something I wanted to hear for 20 years.

Aside from the Anderson Theater live album, there is also another live set from June 1968 (like, a week or two before they broke up) that I have seen advertised in bootleg magazines in the '80s, but which I've never bought or seen elsewhere. It was on several, like 4 LPs, when I saw it advertised. I wouldn't mind finding this and buying it or downloading it.
