It's not a parody, but Albuquerque.

    Flash video 10MB!

Christmas at Ground Zero is another good one.

I have a bit of Weird Al in me....I like writing song parodies. One time I wrote a hilarious parody of Metric's "Combat Baby" called "Wombat Baby". I posted it on the band's online forum and the next time they played in San Francisco, Emily (the lead singer) introduced the song as "Wombat Baby". That had some people shaking their heads! Then after the show I met up with Josh (bass player) and Jimmy (guitar), and Josh said he suggested she introduce it that way as a tongue-in-cheek homage to my parody. Then I saw them in the UK the following year and Emily gave me the mic during the show to sing along, and the words that came out my mouth were my "Wombat" lyrics instead....I swear, it's hard for me to keep them apart! LOL

    Here is my parody:

And here is the original song:

I also wrote a pretty good spoof of "Route 66" in the mid-90s (a bit dated with references to Janet Reno and David Koresh, but still pretty funny).

This man is a GENIUS ! I love him.

White and Nerdy just makes me LMAO. Donny Osmond kills me every time I watch it.

BOB is hilarious. Go hang salami I'm a lasagna hog.

My grandson is a big Star Wars fan so I really enjoyed The Saga Begins.

Amish Paradise is a classic. I loved the kid burning in hell. Too funny.

E-Bay very funny, WANNA BUY a kleenex used by Dr. Dre !

    He's a genius I'm telling you, a GENIUS.

Weird Al is the greatest! I love White and Nerdy, but I love all his stuff. What's sad is his non-parody songs are just as good, but hardly ever get any recognition. One More Minute... hilarious!

the Monday after it appeared on Night Tracks over the weekend.

Night Tracks!!!! Leo you are an eighties child! One of the best places to watch videos ever!!! Not Mtv with their stupid Vee-Jays (note to youngsters: at one time Mtv played music videos. Crazy, I know, but true) Night Tracks was like 6 hours of solid, back-to-back videos!! Ok, I think they had commercials, too. But it was awesome back in the day.

Yeah I loved watching Night Tracks Friday nights. That was my only venue for watching music videos at the time, as my cable did not get "my MTV" yet (that happened in 1985). I watched it a lot on our b&w TV so I didn't even see it half the time in color. But yeah, where else would I get to watch my Duran Duran, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Thompson Twins, Prince, Rockwell, Billy Idol, etc. etc.? Here is a blast from the past:

I ran into this Wierd Al song a while ago, I still get a smile when I hear it. Hope it doesn't offend anyone.

I have been trying real hard to find out which song he's doing a parody of, and I can't figure it out. Anyone help? I originally thought it was "They call the wind Mariah" but now I;m not sure.

That's not a weird Al song, it's misattributed:

I love the parody of the Avril Lavigne song..."Why'dja hafta go and make things so complicated?"
Does anyone remember the name of this one?
The first time I heard it I fell over laughing.
I have three boys and we've listened to his songs repeatedly over the years - along with stuff from the Dr. Demento show.
