Yearbook 75 p.223-224 Witness couple and their 6 day old Cheryl, who needed blood. "Darell and Rhoda correctly viewed blood Transfusion as a violation of God's law, and thus oposed it. They were CONCERNED ABOUT THE BABIES WELFARE, FOR EVERLASTING LIFE IS ONLY THE PROSPECT OF THOSE ADHERING TO GOD'S LAWS. But, by court order blood was administered to Cheryl, despite her parents protests."

Yes Obves crazy logic is Watchtower doctrine. Parents concerned for the everlasting life of their baby fighting against blood! Luckly the court took over and probably saved the child...but notice how this is left out of the Yearbook.

More of their mindless doctrinal cack and here...

Nothing about "if the child lives to be 100 THEN dies"... but then that probably wasn't a good thing for them to say, as Armageddon was just around the corner at the time !

Someone should ask "baby" Cheryl who is now 32 years old whether she wishes she had died rather than take that blood transfusion.

Surely a baby is not able to judge good and bad....how can a baby be judged if THE PARENTS give it blood????? Is Jehovah so cruel and merciless to judge a 6 day old baby?? Not even able to sin yet??

That's not what the blood booklet said. It specifically said the child!....They're idiots!

oops sorry didn"t look at alphaomega's post. WOW! am speechless....how do they say a child will not have everlastinglife if they have a blood transfusion but turn around and say that baptizing children is wrong cause they HAVE NO DECISION in the matter!

No 4digitcode go back and read it CAREFULLY! Both books say "the child's everlasting life" will be cacelled.

The Tower writers may have been referring to the "family merit" doctrine. Minor children are saved from being murdered by Jehovah at Armageddon by "family merit". If the parents allow blood medical treatment against Watch Tower policy, the parents are guilty of a mortal sin and if the parents are both disfellowshipped or as it is now called, disassociated, the minor children will be murdered along with the parents.

Look up "family merit". It's on the WT CD.

What do you bet if you asked ten JWs this question, none of them would know this is their religion's stance on this. I guarantee none of them would know that it's the baby whose everlasting life would be in jeopardy.
