Okay, it's so stupid but here goes. Is a lemon and lime the same? I say no. I believe they are 2 different fruit. Anyone know for sure or have any comments?

Taste 'em, they definitely have a different taste to 'em. They grow on different trees IE; lemon tree, lime tree. Yep they are different, not the same IMHO.

I used to think limes were just unripened lemons.

I think two different fruits, but what the hell do I know....lemon....lime...fruit, Although lime is better with tequila!

We have lemons and limes all over here in Florida. The lime taste green and the lemon taste yellow. Its pretty simple.
