Don't make me laff I already tried. Besides with the loans from the crappy trade school I have left over I am just paying as I go.
Nice one! I started my Bachelor of Anything last year, five units in now. It will take around eight years, but I'm up for it. It's really hard work, and a constant slog. I love it!

You asked for it....its a hot topic in my household these days...here's what I have learned
You can cut costs, time and aggravation by taking competency tests for a lot of your core required classes. Test usually run about $60-$70 and are offered bt test sites throughout the nation. The CLEP College Mathmatics (not algebra) test and Composition with Essay are both worth 6 credits each and are course required by any college. So theoretically if you pass both then you will have 12 credits for about $120-140. Same goes for a lot of other subjects. If you are smart (which I believe you are) and can study for these tests, you could theoretically knock off 2 years just with these tests.

BTW there are excellent ACCREDITED programs for people who are in their 30's-40's-50's want to do nearly all of it online.
Eastern Illinois University charges the same for online courses as in-state tuition. Their BGS Bachelor of General Studies program lets you use CLEP, DANTES, Life experience Portfolios and previous college credit for up to 100 of the 120 credits needed for the Bachelors Degree. The remaining 20 credits from them you can take online. Only note is that 40 of the credits need to be upper level, but you can knoock off 20 of those through Life experience Portfolios or DANTES credit.

I took one a long time ago surprising didn't need much it's free at ACC. Though the written essay part isn't. I bet I would of needed more after that one.
