Ok here is Damneds- looks like he has a tender spot for his tweety bird. ( and that is a two seater golf cart-but just a widebody version for him!)

For anyone who's interested, here's an article explaining how these cashier's check scams work:

    http://www.snopes.com/crime/fraud/cashier.asp

The cashier's checks are forgeries, but the FDIC requires that your bank credit your account within 5 days of depositing one, regardless of whether it has actually cleared. It may take several weeks for the banks involved to discover the forgery, but once they do, your bank will immediately take the funds back, sorry! But in the meantime, you've already sent your unforged check to the third party.

Never allow somebody to overpay with the stipulation that you will send the amount of overpayment to another party.

Yes, it is a well honed scheme and many people unknowingly believe that a cashiers check just has to be good.

here is his reply, I guess he was not put off with the picture.

I love this too! On Oprah yesterday she had guests on who were all scammed this past year.
There are scammers everywhere!!! Some are particularly nasty and sorrowful stories.
This craigslist scam I have heard of. Another is the EBAY western union scam where a supposed seller(scammer) gets the email of a desperate buyer somehow and persuades him/her to wire money via western union and not use PAYPAL (saying their paypal account security was compromised and so only western union will be used to transfer the money) Kiss that money good bye if you fall for that!

Another scam was THE WORK AT HOME scam where the innocent person thinks they are accepting goods and repackaging them and sending them to Russia for a legitimate business, but again its a credit card scam and the innocent one is out all the shipping costs AND IS IN DANGER OF GOING TO JAIL FOR MAIL FRAUD!!!!

Be very suspicious of scammers. If you are uncomfortable about a sale or purchase, follow your intuition and get some advice before proceeding.

Ok- as expected the shipper guy ( the scammers alter ego) emailed me and was ready to pick up the dresser the very next morning- he was just waiting for the Western Union wire transfer details- he said he had 2 other shipments to pick up for Mr Scammer.

I waited until late this morning to tell him my story:

I have a little problem- didn't make it to western union before I went out last night. In fact I am leaving town right now- you see I hit it really big at the casino last night and a friend of my ex-wife saw me cashing in my jackpot- would you believe $117,000 !! yeah man- but I owe my ex- a ton of back child support and alimony and I just know the sheriff is coming to get me - I'm not going to jail, man- so i have to split- to make it up I have pushed the dresser outside under my carport- pull out the top RH drawer and behind it you will find an envelope with $5000 cash in it- that's my way of saying thanks, as I gambled with the entire $3000 and was down to less than $500 before I started my big winning streak!!! You have my address and like I said before it's a nudist trailer park- off season right now- the first trailer is the cartaker- his name is Kcuff Uoyy- oriental guy- I told him you were coming for the dresser- just give him my name and don't forget the password, "go colts"

if you get lost their is a Spanky's bar on the corner of tibbs and morris streets , I practically live in that place- tell them Damneds sent you- it's a biker place so watch yourself- sorry goota go- i have run out of time --- If this guy is stupid and greedy enough to drive 300 miles to get that $5000 hidden in the dresser this is what he will see when he arrives at the Damneds address- what is left of a 70 acre huge DamilerChrysler factory complex- all that is left is the guardhouse and the company name over the gate. Did anyone guess the ending? alt
