Homemade icecream works out much cheaper and is just as good if not better than the commercial luxury icecream and being easy to make I wonder why most people don't produce it for themselves and for friends. I have been making it for a couple of years now.

When I was a kid the neighbors would make homemade ice cream, and if we took a turn at cranking we'd get some too. They always made banana ice cream and it was the best ice cream I've ever had. Unfortunately, being lactose intolerant now I can no longer eat it. Anyone have any nondairy recipes for someone like me?

Poppers, could you use soy milk to replace the normal milk? It might be worth a try.
