Thanks for all your responses. Simon-- you brought tears to my eyes because I really hope it encourages other parents out there. Sometimes there isn't a lot we can do when the kids grow up & make bad choices. When I posted this thread, I felt like I was in a parental nightmare that wouldn't end.
My youngest daughter just celebrated 2 years of sobriety from alcohol, pot etc, so I have been really praising her.
