  Seriously, I think you're expecting something from this board that is simply impossible -- an on-line community that resembles one of those phoney pictures in the Watchtower. I'm also beginning to find your whole "I'm-a-nice-guy-let's-not-judge-anyone" routine to be a bit exasperating. By proclaiming that "we" are no "better" than "them," you reinforce the dichotomies about which you complain, simply by applying the same general terms on each group you mention.

  I've admired your posts in the past, but given what you've put here lately, I'm beginning to think you need the break you said you were going to take last week.

  Joel,

  I see a big difference between what transpires here compared to the communications amongt the Witnesses. First off, you don't get tossed off the board here, unless you're really extreme. With the Witnesses, you are thrown out for minor infractions, especially if you are not good at showing remorse.

  Second, we can freely engage in disagreement and conflict. Can't do that as a Witness. Got to keep that plastic smile and say only the blandest of remarks. Joel, to get a reminder, go read WOL for awhile. It makes me gag every time I read their happy drivel.

  Third, we confront each other directly, and take it or leave it as we please. The typical Witness would rather smile to your face, and talk behind your back rather than confront you directly.

  Do I think this place is better? You dang betcha.

  Joel, I think, is one of the few who truly bought into the krap about the 'worldwide brotherhood.'

  If JW accepted gays, Joel would be back tomorrow, I'm sure of it.

  I'm not knocking you Joel, but I will tell you it's neither realistic nor possible to have an association like the JW without a good majority of the members being cunning sneaky liars.

  Your best bet is to find a few TRUE friends who won't judge you.

  There is no 'worldwide brotherhood' based on religion. It doesn't exist.

  It was a pipe dream. I'm sorry. I know you'd like to belong and feel good again, but you took the blue pill. (Matrix)

  Imagine if America The Beautiful,our home and easily
  the best place to live on earth,ever fulfilled it's high
  ideals and intended purposes?I would kiss off the talk of
  "the kingdom" so fast, it would make heads spin.Reality is
  something we cannot ignore,just because we as a nation are
  in pain over a hateful and inconceivable act of horror.It
  means if you are a person who claims Jesus Christ as your

  I have spent 6 years as a reservist,dd214 to prove it,
  and believe that there ARE THINGS WORTH FIGHTING AND DYING
  FOR IN LIFE,REGARDLESS OF GOD'S FUTURE INTENTIONS FOR ALL
  OF US,ONE KINGDOM OR ANOTHER.There is NO AUTHORITY except
  by God,and the worlds governments stand as they do by his
  allowance of it and not some sort of inherent ability to
  hold on to such power by men.Romans 13:1.We are already
  creating much hardships on the women and children of the
  land where we are now preparing to invade.If we kept our
  eyes focused on Afghanistan,we could easily kill bin laden
  with a precise and very heavy strike,delivered with the
  baddest of intentions.Why is it,that when we needed those
  airlines to keep their employees on the payroll,riding out
  these times in "unity",that they could just send 100,000
  people packing into the unemployment lines?It was their own
  lack of oversight that permitted this evil to be brought to
  fruition.America is already a super power in decline,if you
  just look at our infrastructure and inner cities.You lose

  I do not look forward to what must be the words of Christ

  of the land and pay your taxes,that is a patriot and good
  citizen of the highest virtue.Finally,I MUST SAY WITH MUCH
  HUMILITY,THAT IF THIS IS A WEBSITE OF CHRIST THAT IS SHOWING
  TRUE LOVE AND CHRISTIAN UNITY,I WILL NOT DISRESPECT YOUR HELD
