like when I went for an internview to be an escort girl thinking I was going to be going to the ballet and the opera and getting paid for it! Silly silly me!

lol crumpet - well as long as you do more research on the trials than u did on the escort job you should be fine!

Hey, I ate my mother's cooking and I'm still alive. Clinical testing can't be much worse!

Hi Crumpet. I thought about doing this when I was a student and had no money. They used to advertise in Viz magazine.

That case what his name mentioned really would make me think twice though. The company responsible for that has gone bust, and while none of them died as far as I know, one is disabled and another guy's fingers and toes fell off. Not the kind of thing you want happening while at your other job really.

I wouldn't do it myself, but good luck to you.

I've done it..one time. The product being tested spermicide. Thats right. I used the spermicide, had sex with my husband, and went within 24 hours to the hospital to see if all his little guys died. I went once a month for 3 months, I got paid 500.00 total.

You got paid for that - how cool! If only I got lucky enough to test some kind of sex aid - only trouble is I have no one to have sex with - unless I go back to being an escort girl - LOL!

Ninja - I do have a job - it just doesnt pay enough to cover food as well as rent! Cheeky thing!

thanks for all the extra info n exjw - I will come and ask you in that case should I get called up for any testing.

Ballistic - I'm not sure I would regard Viz as the kind of mag that a reputable drugs company would advertise in - but then who misses a couple of students?

The best one I ever saw was a few weeks ago... its a "Long Endurance Zero Gravity" experiment to test the affects of being in zero gravity for five weeks. Instead of sending you into space they have you lay in bed in the lab for five weeks. You are not allowed to get up... ever.

This one is perfect for anyone who wants to bum around in bed for five solid weeks.

When I was around 13/14 my mom would sign all us kids up for clinical testing. It was mostly topical creams and such that they would swab on our arm and put a bandage over it. We'd return in a week or so for them to see if there was any skin irritation and to collect the money.

Not sure I'd put my little kids thru that but I'd consider doing that sort of testing again as an adult.

(((((((Crumpet))))))))) The only advice I can give you, chere, is just don't submit to any testing of serious drugs for vital organs or cancer treatment. My last patient was in a cancer treatment program and they destroyed her digestive tract by doubling up on her chemo on time. She died within the year and was only 37 yo. We'd hate to lose you.

Oh Frannie i am sorry to hear that! Don't worry I'm hoping to go the kind of route Audesapere mentioned - mainly topical trials rather than anything i have take in terms of pills.

This one is perfect for anyone who wants to bum around in bed for five solid weeks.

Where do I sign up Elsehwere???
