It's funny how quickly we gals can change from lover/lady love into Mamma. And I learned that with my first husband, my high school sweetheart. Do not allow yourself to be cast in the role of parent. Because then you get treated like a parent, rather than a hot lover or lady love. The fellas then start to stay out too late. They don't call when they should. They dread coming home. They lie about where they were. They leave their messes everywhere to be picked up by Mom. T
But most of all they start looking for a girlfriend to date and have fun with-----because we ladies have now become their mothers. So, before a relationship goes too far, you have to let them know what you can and cannot live with; so they stop doing those things around you or to you, otherwise you gracefully bow out and move on to someone who will treat you as you want and need to be treated.
Note: sometimes men become fathers or daddies in a relationship or marriage. I have seen women who constantly resent their husbands for behaving more like father's than lovers and companions.
