  I had only one comment written on the top f this article: WHERE IS THE RANSOM: 1 Joh 2:1,2.

  It clearly does not fit the way they are heading...

  The ransom according to the WTBTS only counts for the "anointed" . Or 144k in their dogma the great crowd is not considered anointed . The great crowd are viewed as the foreign proselytes were in ancient Israel , allowed to worship as a jew but not actually in the covenant.Like when moses doused the 12 tribes with animal blood , jesus blood only works for the symbolic( natural jew )or spirit adopted Israel.

  I actually thought this was a pretty good study article, for once, except for paragraph 17 re apostasy.

  yadda, I suppose you could look at it that way if you still believe that only way to God's love is through the WTS which is the theme of this article. Those who don't feel that way are labeled "apostate" by the WTS.

  Blondie, taken in isolation, paragraph 3 does suggest your point (that active JW membership is the only way to 'remain' in God's love - something JW's clearly believe), but the majority of the paragraphs in themselves are simply standard Christian teaching and exhortation, ie, to obey God, to not sin, to pray regularly, to obeying Jesus' commandments, to avoid immorality, to pray for the holy spirit, avoiding harming others through adultery, respecting the sanctity of marriage, to fear God, avoiding greed, seeking forgiveness if we have sinned. All basic Christian fare.
  
  If you deleted paragraphs 3, 15 and 17, this article could be found in a journal put out by nearly any Christian denomination (if 'Jehovah' was replaced with 'God or 'Lord').
  
  Of course if one is thoroughly predisposed to demonizing everything coming from the Society's mouth then the article will be seen as nothing more than cynical WT propaganda.

  JWs know there is no salvation or relationship with God outside the WTS/FDS/GB; at least that is the individual JW's public opinion.

  Taken in isolation!!!! Who would ever do that? The fluff of more than 90% of this article is to fill an hour of meeting.
  The point to be made is from those isolated paragraphs. They are what the average rank-and-file need to be
  reminded of. Most study articles have more fluff than that. What kind of meeting would it be if they just had the
  mind-controlled zombies chanting- "Obey the WTS. Never leave the WTS. Sins are defined by WTS." ?
  They have to slip them into 18 to 23 paragraphs.

  Rest assured, the Judicial committees will be saying to the doubter, "paragraph 3 says that leaving God is a
  gross sin, and you will lose God's love unless you accept WT doctrine." (Some crap like that)
