You can download the file NOAHSLIST.ZIP from this site:

    http://www.badongo.com/file/1834543

The file is about 47 MB in ZIPped format, and unZIPs to nearly double that.

Badongo requires you to wait 30 seconds before it begins the download, and the download is not very speedy - that's the price of free file hosting services.

The file will be gone in 30 days.

Hey, thanks so much Nathan Natas. I did not even know that a site like that existed. You were right about the slow downloading speed, but I just started it going and then when I just came back to my computer it was done. The scan is a very good quality and it's exactly what I needed. So, thanks again!

This article was written over 50 years ago by people with preconcieved ideas about the outcome. Is it really true, considering all the new kinds of animals that have been found since then, that they all would have fit on the ark?

I'm not sure, I just find that hard to believe. So is there a more modern, and less biased discussion of whether or not they'd fit?

The "kinds" of animals selected had reference to the clear-cut and unalterable boundaries or limits set by the Creator, within which boundaries creatures are capable of breeding "according to their kinds." It has been estimated by some that the hundreds of thousands of species of animals today could be reduced to a comparatively few family "kinds"—the horse kind and the cow kind, to mention but two. The breeding boundaries according to "kind" established by Jehovah were not and could not be crossed. With this in mind some investigators have said that, had there been as few as 43 "kinds" of mammals, 74 "kinds" of birds, and 10 "kinds" of reptiles in the ark, they could have produced the variety of species known today. Others have been more liberal in estimating that 72 "kinds" of quadrupeds and less than 200 bird "kinds" were all that were required. That the great variety of animal life known today could have come from inbreeding within so few "kinds" following the Flood is proved by the endless variety of humankind—short, tall, fat, thin, with countless variations in the color of hair, eyes, and skin—all of whom sprang from the one family of Noah.

So...in four thousand years or so all the different breeds of an original "kind", um, evolved to the thousands of breeds we have today? Isn't this idea of "evolution" even more pronounced than what scientists claim happens within the evolution of a species?

Nathan, the famous question..... How did you do that! I have a copy of that Awake magazine but don't know how to go about sending to the friends here at JWDF. I have full year sets of Consolation/Awakes from 1938 on. If I can ever be a help for anyone on the board , feel free to ask. Awhile back I was going to get rid of the book's /magazines but I'll hold on to them incase someone is looking for particular issues as in the above case. Again I'd appreciate your input. Thanks!!
