Were You Ever a Victim of Jealousy?

    Dear Respondents,

As one pointed out, there is some reciprocity involved---the "Boomerang Effect". Perhaps "victim" is not the most comprehensive of words because victimization can, and often does, go both ways. The one receiving the "blows", however, can elect to do as many of you clearly have done:

A man's [woman's] discretion makes him [her] slow to anger,

And it is his [her] glory to overlook a transgression.

Proverbs 19:11, NEW AMERICAN STANDARD BIBLE, Reference Edition

I have truly benefited from your words, your wisdom borne of pain.

    Never again a "victim",

A comment in another thread and a recent development in my life reminded me of this subject. Anyone in your life acting jealous lately? I hope not; however, if so....

Since you bumped this topic, I'll update my previous post - the person's jealousy boomeranged on them big-style. Looking back now, this person seemed jealous of everyone, or what other people had.

If they'd only look at their own life and gifts and work on building those, they'd realise there's no need to go after everyone else. I pray that one day this will happen. Although I would be cautious around them now, I'm not angry any more, I feel more sorry for them because I know they don't need to behave the way they do.
