After reading your posted thread certain thoughts
came across my mind and of course you did mention
that you wanted thoughts so here goes.
"God creates man in his image and then directs him to subdue the earth. And we certainly have done so. ..."
"But at its core, you still have that instruction from God to bring the earth and the animals into submission rather than partnering with our home and our fellow earthlings."
Thoughts?
One dictionary definition of the
word subdue is defined as:
To bring land under cultivation.
-Webster's New World Dictionary, 1982
So your above statement could be left open to interpretation.
I am certainly no defender of "Christianty" however, I think
when the Bible was written there was a good motivation or
principles behind it.
Sad to say, I think men have corrupted it. And, regarding
religion, there is no doubt in my mind that they have.
