I have to jump in here as I have several family members who have been disfellowshipped twice, as well as reproved a couple of times and one that will be df'd again in the near future. However, all of them feel that JW's have the truth. They just can't keep it in their pants so they go off and do the naughty for a while until they either get caught or their conscience gets the best of them. Because they are not well liked in the congregation, they tend to get df'd. But they keep going back for more, I guess they like being abused.

After a couple of failed marriges to pioneer "sisters" I was thinking of becomming homosexual, but that would probably be a pain in the butt after awhile too. No offense to any board members who are gay by the way.

One day a couple of years ago, a bricklayer brother that worked for me was telling me about another ELDER that had been disfellowshipped 4 times and was currently an ELDER again.
He was laughing as he told the story.
What a horrible thing to even know, let alone, tolerate and laugh about.
How would you like an elder to sit on a JC with you knowing he had been df'd 4 times himself?
There is a cong in Nixa, Missouri, that has a brother in it named Stoops. He committed adultery a bunch of times and the end of the matter was that he re-married a couple of times. There are now his wife and two ex-wives in the same congregation. Can you imagine the consternation of morally balanced christians when two or three sister Stoops are called on at the WT study?
By the way, last I knew, he was a pioneer.

Last congregation, in 5 years, only 2 df'd and they were reinstated within a year

i dont know if its more commonplace..it probably varies from congregation to congregation......let me see if i can recall everyone from my congregation.. i was a member of this congregation all my life except for 8 years.. this congregation at its peak was well over 100 members..today around 50-60 the below df'ings cover the years 1980 to present
1.... male..df'd 3 times between the ages of 18 -21 for fornication.. one incident was with a 14 year old girl.. he was df'd usually for 3 or 4 mos.. last df'ing he quit attending but recently in his late 40s has returned and reinstated.
2...female 14 df'd for above fornication.. reinstated after a few months..currently married pioneer sister
3.... male late 30s..df'd for running off with a sister in the hall and apostacy not reinstated
4... sister late 20s..df'd for running off with above male.. not reinstated. not attending
5...male mid 30s.. df'd for fornicating with 14 year old babysitter.. later reinstated..attends
6...female 14..df'd for fornication with above male.. claimed it was rape (and it was!) family shunned her to the point of not eating meals with the child...left the truth for good
7. elder.. removed and df'd for drunk driving and accident that made the papers. has not sought reinstatement..not attending
8. elder.. removed and df'd for sex with a young employee.. reinstated shortly after..attends respected older man now
9...elder... removed and df'd for leaving wife for worldly woman..not attending
10.. male 40s, df'd for smoking..recently reinstated after about 12 yrs being df'd
11.. male 50s former elder df'd for shooting girl in a moving car.. reinstated after a couple years..attending
12.. male 20s .. smoking currently still df'd after 20 yrs but attends
13... female.. fornication before marriage.. reinstated.. currently df'd again and left the truth for good
14.. female ... df'd for adultry with employer..reinstated after a couple years..attending
15.. male.. baptized at 8 yrs old.. df'd as a teen for smoking..left for good
16..male.. teen for fornication. not attending
17.. male mid 30s df'd for adultry with teenage girl.. reinstated ministerial servant now
18.. female.. 40s df'd for adultry..still df'd
19.. female 30s..df'd for adultry .dunno if she's ever been reinstated

21..male teen..df'd for fornication.. son of above male..still out

23.. female 30s.. df'd for smoking.. reinstated after a few years

25.. female.. 40s..above elders wife df'd apostacy (not sure about their teen son , their married daughter and her husband quit attending)
26..male 50s.. study that was baptized then later arrested for molesting his daughter..still out.. not attending (this is the ONLY convert i can remember in all the years i went to this congregation. all other baptisms were kids of current members)
27..male 20s.. df'd for wife swapping.. reinstated
28..female 20s swapped wife of above df'd ..reinstated
29..teen female.. da'd herself
30..teen female ..sister of above female..da'd herself
31..female 20s.. df'd for fornication..still out not attending
32..female 30s..df'd for adultry..still out not attending
33. male 30s.. df'd several times when he'd trade in old wife for younger versions..currently reinstated
last one i dont know if i can include in this group..they used to go to our congregation but moved to nearby one to serve where need was greater... elder had an affair with a young girl from age 15 - 18. when she turned 18 they told on themselves.. got df'd.. he divorced his wife..married young girl and both are now reinstated and attending the same nearby congregation.
thats all i can remember for now.. and thats just the df's and da's.. the public reproof list would probably add another 10-12 people.

There was an elder in our congregation that had an affair with a teenager my age, with his wife's blessing. They were teaching her "how to be a good wife", in case something ever happened to his wife. He finally got df'd, but moved to South Missouri. There he was reinstated, and an elder again.
