I won't get all the details, but chapter one says there are 2 types of NGO's. The WTS supposedly belonged to a different kind than the type that had to promote UN stuff. The problem is that the website gives no detail in chapter 1 on what it meant to be a DPI (Dept. of Public Info.) NGO. It simply said DOT, DOT, DOT, indicating that it leaves out some possibly negative stuff.

The basic argument is still clear. Get out of the world. Do not touch her if you don't want part of her plagues. That's said about Babylon the Great, but their attitude toward the governments is the same. They will be destroyed. Don't passively support them. They are not excused, if even their ridiculous claim were true, TO USE THE LIBRARY.

They want UN support, because the future of WTS is not in the US, but elsewhere, where it may be necessary for the UN to say, "These guys are okay, let them preach to your people."

    OTWO,

I totally agree. I've read this site and it never addresses that fundamental issue. It's just a bunch of spin.

Truth doesn't need spin. Humility doesn't need spin. If you're humble and you make a mistake, admit it, apologize sincerely and move on. The reason why folks are being df'ed over this issue is because the WTS knows that if it becomes common knowledge among the flock, they will lose many members and much money.

It isn't the association with the UN that really bothered me. It's the cover-up that shows me they don't have Jehovah's blessing or spirit.

The guy who wrote this site left out important information, and down-right lied in his analysis of the evidence. There is a post here where his statements were shown inaccurate. The author is a JDub, who went apostate, and then did the prodigal son thing. I think this is his way over avoiding the second death senario.

W--couldn't have said it better myself.

Yes, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that the watchtower is a lying, abusive, deceitful, skanky whorish cult that protects pedophiles.

Nice to hear from you again Hawkaw

I've just checked out the info on this apologist site.

I'm puzzled that the JWs who claim to be "God's spirit directed Organisation" can use the "apostates" to bring to their attention that they had done something wrong !

I don't really care one way or the other about the UN debaccle. But the other main issue on that jehovahsjudgement site is 607, which I've indicated to be absolutely brimming with errors:

    Part 1:http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/12/118445/2082380/post.ashx#2082380
    Part 2:http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/12/118507/2083398/post.ashx#2083398
    Part 3:http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/12/119298/2100119/post.ashx#2100119
    Part 4:http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/12/119358/2101495/post.ashx#2101495
    Part 5:http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/12/119819/2111788/post.ashx#2111788
    Part 6:http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/12/120647/2129466/post.ashx#2129466

Funnily enough, thirdwitness seems to have made himself scarce after not being able to properly refute my analysis of the article he claims to have written.

So it wouldn't suprise me at all if the NGO article is full of the same level of error and blatant dishonesty.

The Watchtower Society, the legal corporation used by Jehovah's Witnesses, immediately withdrew the DPI NGO membership.

Note what is says here: that they indeed had DPI NGO membership.

The Watchtower has in all her years proclaimed that any affiliation to this "wild beast" will result in death; Jehovah's disapproval.

So it doesn't matter what anyone says about it. You can write essay after essay, create website upon website.

It will never shange the fact they did indeed go against their own words.

The reason why they were "members" does not matter.

They have always condemned the UN and yet they sided with them. No rpentance, no remorse, just reasons why they did it.

Watchtower, you screwed yourself and no matter what you write or say will change what happened.

I think I hear a toilet flush. Oops it's the WT going down.

haha. serves you right for destroying so many families, so many lives. Bye bye.

    Andy.

The reason why they were "members" does not matter.
They have always condemned the UN and yet they sided with them. No rpentance, no remorse, just reasons why they did it.

Examples in the leadership's prescribed doctrine on not associating and/or not supporting the United Nations are as follows:

    - an article titled "Their Refuge-A Lie!" in the Watchtower magazine of June 1, 1991 (pages 15-20),

    - an article titled "Can an Image Bring Peace and Security" in the Watchtower magazine of December 1, 1976 (page 711)

    - an article titled "The Worship of the "Wild Beast" - Why True Christians Refuse" in the Watchtower magazine of October 15, 1976 (pages 632- 636),

All articles show that becoming involved, supporting or acquiescing to the principals of the scarlet coloured wild beast (ie. the UN) was and still is considered something for false religion.

A further detailed review of the 1991 Watchtower article shows Paragraph 10 asks how false religion was involved in the United Nations. The answer was found in paragraph 11 where no less than no less than twenty-four Catholic organizations are represented at the UN. The answer appeared weak compared to the 1976 Watchtower articles.

Paragraph 11 of the Watchtower 1991 article quoted from chapter 6, paragraph 1, page 45 of the book called "New Genesis, Shaping a Global Spirituality" (ISBN # 1-680465-04-3), Garden City, New York, Doubleday, Image Books, 1982, 1984 by Robert Muller. Robert Muller's article was titled "Prayer and Meditation at the United Nations".

Reading the Muller quote, one observes that the Watchtower 1991 article left out the second sentence of the Muller paragraph. The second sentence states "All major world religions are accredited to the United Nations as non-governmental organizations." This excluded sentence describing non-governmental organizations would actually make the quote in paragraph 11 and thus the answer to paragraph 10 significantly stronger. The sentence's exclusion in the 1991 article provides evidence the Watchtower was quietly seeking the exact same relationship that false religion had with the United Nations in the 1991-1992 timeline.
