Though it was a scary day i did write lots of notes and i have typed them up really for Karl to use but i will put them for everyone else to see also coz it was a interesting day and little nieve me wrote almost all that was said.
I've put all the talksunder sub titles just in case you want to look for a certain thing maybe like there is a talk on Angels, older people of the congregation all differnt poop . Also to make it easier i put all the scriputes in also and put them in italics.
I apologise now for any "we's" "ours" "us" because i found myself just writing it in the written notes,,,,quite scary when i was reading it after because i didnt even realise i was doin it even now when i just looked through it there were quite a few but ive tried to edit them to things like their and they and such but if i missed one i am sorry!
Anyway enough of my jabber here it is and id suggest you get a cup of tea/coffee/beverage and just get a comfy seat its quite long unlike me and now my ass it hurtin so learn from me :)

    Meg

P.S ooooo im gonna have to put it all in the post friggin ell its gonna be super long...sorry if it is a eye sore!

On Friday 7 th of July I embarked on a adventure, a journey, a very strange day at a Jehovah’s Witnessing convention.

    The entrance to another world

: I began to realize the serious intensity of my day trip to the conference when I entered the hall of the Manchester MEN Arena. Manchester Evening News Arena is Europe's largest indoor concert venue which can hold 21,000 people. Of course this information slips your mind and is only a number until you see at least 1000 Jehovah’s Witnesses in one small area. I didn’t realize how much a new hair cut and skirt can make you fit in nicely until I tried to enter the doors and a arm came in front of me and the man said "where is your badge sister" I froze on the spot not knowing what to say. Sister? This to me is a terminology used in Black America not in Manchester and especially not at a Jehovah’s witnessing conference. This was a thing I was to get used to though throughout the day. When I entered the circular walk way around the arena itself it was amazing how many people there was. There were volunteer witnesses holding signs with the watchtower logo on saying "move along" I thought this was a little drastic but it was amazing how clumps of people would block a walk way.

The morning started with kingdom melodies, song then prayer.

    10:35

Be attentive to Jehovah’s promises of deliverance

"People will wear you down and try and take us down" was the entering note for the first talk.

Jeremiah 1:19 They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you

and will rescue you," declares the Lord

    .

But what is the comfort and joy? Be attentiveness to Gods word.

Luke 11:28 He replied, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it."

    Past time Influences.

    Noah

    - Noah knew the means of deliverance was coming, through Jehovah’s word spoke through Noah the world would be able to choose to take this word seriously.

Genesis 6:9: This is the account of Noah.
Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God.

Noah was a faultless man and refused to be distracted. Was he rewarded?

Genesis 7:23 Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; men and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds of the air were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.

It was due to Noah’s faith with God why he survived.

    Moses

    -

Exodus 12:50-51 All the Israelites did just what the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron. And on that very day the Lord brought the Israelites out of Egypt by their divisions.

They were told "When you obey Jehovah you will be saved." Every question was answered by Moses because Moses listened to Jehovah.

And what a coincidental conclusion to Noah and Moses, that is why we were there on that sunny Friday.

Philippians 4:6-7: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Deliverance is the peace of God. If they listen and apply what they are being taught in their lives peace will be in their lives also. The convention gives lots of council and instruction from Jehovah.

Psalm 107:43: Whoever is wise, let him heed these things and consider the great love of the Lord.

The speaker instructed that to get 100% from the convention they must be attentive in 3 ways.

Heart – Prepare Their heart! They were told to have good sleep and the night before each day look over the themes of the talks to seek inspiration at which talk titles will be helpful to them.

Eyes – Their eyes should be always fixed on the platform with all focus on instructions and not on the distractions in which are around.

Mind – They should make the convention pivotal Looking back on Philippians 4:6-7. Sit in thier seats for all 3 days, there were no reason to be wandering in the corridors when talks were scheduled.

Also the talker said to make a check list of what Jehovah wants them to do.

They were then instructed to pay attention to Jehovah’s promises and "they did so"

The speaker finishes by asking If their actions were recorded would Jehovah say "they did so?"

    11:05
Practice "the things that you learn"

Philippians 4:9 - Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

They were told to practice things they learn at the conference and they would receive blessing by practicing what they have learned. The Convention is a way to benefit themselves through learning and practice.

The speaker then said he was going to interview some "everyday" Jehovah’s witnesses and see what they received through practicing what they had learned in past conferences.

Sarah- Sarah had a full time job, 3 children and took ministry. The convention helped her make changes in her life.

Ephesians 5:15-16 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

She considered her whole way of thinking she had to "walk with faith not life" She had dilemma indeed. After a lot of prayer she decided to leave her job. Now she is a Pioneer with a strong family and spiritual routine. It enabled her to have a closer relationship with Jehovah God.

Dave: The new book "What does the bible really teach" gave Dave determination for studies. The book received a good response with 1- people in his congregation buying a copy. And with the book he was able to start bible studies. The illustration in Chapter 11 was very inspiration for him. It was of students questioning a teacher. And the teacher gave the students the floor. This is a simile of how Jehovah allows leaders to be students and lead and question.

Jean: Jean had a inactive sister named Eleanor who was suffering with personal problems. Jean learnt that people need loving assistance. So she began to Visit Eleanor regularly and they went over the Watchtower together every week. Eleanor had 3 children and was pregnant; Jean was able to help with spiritual and physical needs. When she returned to the Kingdom hall she was welcomed warmly with help to gain her confidence. Eleanor began to ministry one day a week which brought happiness and control in her life. Jehovah blessed Eleanor with happiness and is a joy to the congregation. It was a joy to Jean when recently Eleanor offered to help her in return and Jean felt happy that Eleanor had learned about how to give support.

David: David was baptized in 1996 he felt the need to reach out. 1000 new congregations are made each year so there is a need for elders. He felt inadequacy to even talk to elders so he prayed for help. He realized that all men have gifts and different abilities. He concentrated all his efforts in any way possible to help and saw he need for group meetings. He is now appointed minstrel service. He helped with sound and became a magazine servant. He also does talks on what Jehovah wants him to do and that makes him very happy

Luke- Luke left school in 2002 and did not know what he wanted to do. He did 2 computer courses and enrolled as a pioneer. He feels a close relationship with Jehovah by choosing to give full time service in which his parents suggested. He feels blessed to have a close relationships to his brothers and they have supported him,

He feels respect to his parents as they were right all along in the persuasion to follow a faith goal rather then a secular one.

Sarah – Sarah was at Liverpool University to become a English teacher. She has a small amount of time on ministry. She took inspiration for a earlier Drama of Jonathan doing what was right. She realized it is never to later to change your goals. Where your hear is your goals will be. She gave up her University course 2 years in and became a regular pioneer. University was self relevant but being a pioneer needs support of Jehovah and congregation. She is now less stressful and developed call and return visits. Giving the truth to people is everlasting rather then teaching English.

Amy – was a drama with a postman. She talked of how humans are restored to how they created in paradise. Resurrection when you die and you get brought back to life.

Ecclesiastics 9:5 For the living know that they will die,
    but the dead know nothing;
    they have no further reward,
and even the memory of them is forgotten.

    11:45
    – How Jehovah delivers "the poor one crying for help"

Live 8 began in 1984 to help the starving in Africa. However there was frustration of lack of power and many feel they are fighting a loosing battle.

Ecclesiastics 4:1 Again I looked and saw all the oppression that was taking place under the sun:
I saw the tears of the oppressed—
    and they have no comforter;
power was on the side of their oppressors—
    and they have no comforter.

There has been limited ability since 1914 and there is a coming of much work as Satan is the repressor.

    There is an answer

1 kings 4:24-25 For he ruled over all the kingdoms west of the River, from Tiphsah to Gaza, and had peace on all sides. During Solomon's lifetime Judah and Israel, from Dan to Beersheba, lived in safety, each man under his own vine and fig tree.

King Solomon was frustrated to help world wide but only could help people in his own society.

Matthew 12:42 The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon's wisdom, and now one greater than Solomon is here.

Everyone under Jesus will have truth and will be for all eternity.

Psalm 72:12-14: For he will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help. He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death. He will rescue them from oppression and violence, for precious is their blood in his sight.

There is the deliverance for the poor ones crying for help.

There will be a refresh of rain to the drought and lack of flock just enough to survive. We need to be patient, help will come for Jesus reigned down in 1914 to star the watchtower society.

Tony was in a car accident he spent 17 weeks hospital 4 weeks in intensive care 3 of them weeks unconscious. He had a 1% survival rate but survived. He had 12 months of pain, 9 months in a wheel chair. After 2 years of work he was able to stand and walk. Brothers sent boxes of cards and he understood the power of Jehovah to those who cry out for help.

Hilda was Tony’s wife they were having finance problems 4 daughters. She had a part time job and government helped a little/. Brothers helped with transport to meetings and hospital, they gave food and moral support to daughters and even helped with shopping.

Phil’s brother was disfellowshipped he realized that his loyalty to Jehovah helped him understand principles. Brothers helped with phone calls and cards.

    12:05
Behold the abounding wealth of the sea

Deuteronomy 33:19They will summon peoples to the mountain nd there offer sacrifices of righteousness; they will feast on the abundance of the seas, on the treasures hidden in the sand.

The sea covers 70% of the world its essential for life and we harvest 100 trillion tones of food from the sea every year.

A chemical found in the buffer fish helps treat asthma and a chemical in the sponge is used in viral drugs.

Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

The talker then says out of the blue "come swim with me" look down in the oceans expanse of blue, a world of blue, the varieties of life, shapes and colours. And what is that big shadow in the distance "It’s a whale! Wow Oh my, it’s a blue whale 100 feet long its tongue of 6000 pounds" The principle of a whale gives help of the design of Subs. "Look behind you a giant squid looking straight at you!" 15 inches of eyes. A giant squid is 57 feet long the biggest non vertebrate.

Squid is a sperm whales favorite food and a squid cab be up too 200 feet long. They can launch 100 feet in the air. Sea swarms with Jehovah’s powerful creation and scientists have admitted that 95% of the seas species in the sea are unknown.

Sea of people is Jehovah bringing of wealth.

Isaiah 60:4-5 "lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the arm. Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.

Rise from the reckless sea of man and kind she becomes radiant. We are here because of the preaching of all "Look around BEHOLD, The abounding wealth of the sea!" The symbolic sea will be come reckless as the close days come.

Psalm 89:9 You rule over the surging sea; when its waves mount up, you still them.

Can calm a honest heart, Search Sea to add to the wealth of sea from the sea of distruction.

12:25 Key notes Jehovah’s provisions for our "ever lasting deliverance"

Everyone was to imagine that they had been diagnoised with a deadly disease. All the doctors said it is incurable and they were going to die. But a specialist Doctor enabled them a glimmer of hope with a operation however it costs more then everything they owned. They would need deliverance! Everyone needs deliverance! They all need Deliverance from the most deadliest disease.

Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned

Sin equals the act out of harmony. They inherit sin from Adam it has been spead to all men in DNA, its unstoppable. It’s a time bomb that takes them closer to their death. 90% of the French is surveys say that they have no concept of sin.

Romans 7:21-24 21So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?

Speaker then asked if everyone felt like Paul. From conception they were infected by sin even in the 1st cell. Any wonder why cells in their sense made them sin? The cure is beyond them.

Is there a cure for sin? Jesus will save them through deliverance, the Lamb of God that takes sin away from the world.

The speaker then says "If in your state of illness was on a beautiful island the spirit lifts a little but does it last?" No they are still going to die. To be delivered they need to be delivered through their sinful life, Deliverance in Jesus Christ.

    Step one

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel

A price is needed to be paid for sacrifice. Job, Noah and Abel sacrificed animals in order to shed blood to give repentance.

Hebrews 9:11-12 When Christ came as high priest of the good things that are already here, he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not man-made, that is to say, not a part of this creation. He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.

Paul helped appreciation of something greater coming. Jesus gave everlasting deliverance an everlasting ransom. When Adam disobeyed he sold his offspring into slavery and death. The Ransom for Adam’s sin? Jesus for Adams sin and all sin, a life for a life

Romans 5:18 Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men.

The speaker says to everyone they are all sinful yet Jesus is righteous. Justice scales balanced, Adams sin balanced by Jesus righteousness.

    What benefits come from it?

    Forgiveness

Acts 3:19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,

Repentance is the refreshing from Jesus. The sin is blotted out. In the times of Jesus scribed were made with carbon, gum and water and the ink could be wiped away if a mistake was made and this is exactly was God dues for them.

They have righteous standing as Gods friend and they are free from slavery of fear and death. Satan causes death but with Jesus we are resurrected.

Hebrews 2:14 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil—

    The vision of John

Hebrews 2:14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.

Just as water is vital to life so is the flowing light of Jesus, lifting humanity back to perfection, released their perfect senses with Glory and praise.

Speaker says "will I benefit?" he then says express appreciation by taking water of life which is still available now. Jesus gave kings in 1914 are they partaking in it? When they share in pure worship of Jehovah’s word in regular study, contemplation and meeting it’s a matter of life or death.

The watchtower is the regular medicate of keeping you alive and healthy by taking the Watchtower they can all appreciate all is done through Jesus

3:00 Cherish your place in the congregation

Cherish Their place in the congregation protect and treat it with great care. Jeremiah felt cared for and he was the heart of the nation of Israel. The information in which God gave Jeremiah was for everyone to follow.

Joshua 8:32 There, in the presence of the Israelites, Joshua copied on stones the law of Moses, which he had written.

8:35 There was not a word of all that Moses had commanded that Joshua did not read to the whole assembly of Israel, including the women and children, and the aliens who lived among them.

United congregation, the congregation is the nucleus of spirit and righteous Christian unity. It is a blessing as said in Psalm 133.

How they show it? Speaker says :

"Brothers are you spiritually pundit? It is easy for you to critic so don’t critique your elders! Get into management become a servant and Elder. Share in the doings.

1 Peter 1:17-19 Since you call on a Father who judges each man's work impartially, live your lives as strangers here in reverent fear. 18For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, 19but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.

Pay attention for the kind of work you are doing it was with precious blood. Reach out and share responsibility.

Sisters join the army, carry out the preaching work and pioneering. Sister long time in truth show you cherish reverence to God in dress and grooming be an example to others.

Youth the majority of you youth do not see the bright future . Jehovah’s witnessing gives a wonderful future and deliverance. Loving parents have took years to train you, the inheritance of Jehovah’s word. Hopes in the promise land and life saving words are all part of the truth. Can not be handed what your parents hand you

Romans 14:12 12So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.

You are all accountable to God. When all you do reflects what you are in the congregation you will be part of it. Show thanks for the congregation he gives men

Ephesians 4:8 his is why it[ says: "When he ascended on high, he led captives in his train and gave gifts to men."

Anointed readjustments elders council based on the bible and their best interests.@

Role play – guy wants to be happily married, he’s lonely

Proverbs 3:6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Trust in Jehovah and don’t lead to his own understandings. A brother of his married someone at the leisure center and they don’t see them an more. Christians realize that only marrying Jehovah’s witnesses is true to Jehovah and thanks for elder council.

The speaker says to be supportive and united to each other and like in Psalm 18 cherish.

3:20 Jehovah tenderly care for the older ones

Beautiful young people are accidents of nature beautiful young people are workers.

Cosmetic surgery makes it seem that peoples values are based on physical attraction. Older ones are left in the attic.

Old ones are beautiful works of art

Daniel 7:9 As I looked, "thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze.

God was not described for amazing features but older features showing wisdom which we love God for. How does Jehovah see the older ones?

Proverbs 16:31 Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained by a righteous life.

Faithful elders crows of beautify members of the governing body, valuable.

Many years of service persecution with their freedom taken for granted. No wonder Jehovah loves the older faithful ones, with lots of experience and wisdom. The young have not been old but the old have been young, Empathy should be given to these real treasures in our mist. Acknowledge the wonderful works of art that they are Love them for their faithfulness reflecting tenderness of Jehovah. Physical needs should be met with more of a priority to spiritual needs meetings linked to telephone and TV. Jehovah is pleased for the people who look after the old ones.

Sister Misanga’s husband died and was taken in by her son in law but in 2000 he died also. Sister Misanga, her daughter and 5 children were left to be homeless. However the brothers built them a house with love.

Older ones tend to feel inadequate like they are little use or Jehovah is not interested in him even David felt this way

Psalm 71:17-18 Since my youth, O God, you have taught me,
and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.

Even when I am old and gray,
do not forsake me, O God,
till I declare your power to the next generation,
your might to all who are to come.

Jehovah can not really leave be assured Jehovah is with them day by day don’t feel negative! He treasures them and enjoys blessings coming from Jehovah.

Psalm 92:14-15 They will still bear fruit in old age,
they will stay fresh and green,

    15 proclaiming, "The LORD is upright;
he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him."

Blossom fresh to show Jehovah is up right.

Job is 86 years old his is a elder and pioneer for 3-4 years his wife was in a poor state and after sadly died. He had the opportunity to do ministry and went full time helped remain active in rural areas. He is in company of young people and sisters and the ages don’t really matter.

Ken is 75 and has been a Jehovah since 1950, 56 n "the truth" he has been a elder for 34 years. His wife had cancer for 19 years but was still allowed to do all the meetings, the elders were kind and took some of the responsibility but wasn’t cut out on. He carried on 2 book studies, Sunday school and Portuguese group.

Older ones need not to be anxious about the days left in the wicked for Jehovah promises deliverance from old system into the new. Treasures spiritual beauty as you increase in age you increase in value

    3:40 Deliverance from painful distress

Speaker asks "Are you experiencing distress?"

Distress emotional pain can be worse then physical, Family problems, health, and financial reversal, death of a loved one or even just a misunderstanding. All are hard to endure. As they unfold things will get worse.

Pangs of distress, no one really understands on the surface everything looks fine but inside there is emotional turmoil.

Psalm 69:20 Scorn has broken my heart
    and has left me helpless;
I looked for sympathy, but there was none,
for comforters, but I found none.

It is important to recognize that Jehovah understand he is the creator and knows what pain is. David couldn’t trust and human but he trusted God.

Psalm 69:33 The Lord hears the needy
and does not despise his captive people.

Does God have prisoners? all thought of his own that are Christians. Trapped? Ger out of pression through prayer.

2 Chronicles 6:29 and when a prayer or plea is made by any of your people Israel—each one aware of his afflictions and pains, and spreading out his hands toward this temple

    They know their own pain

2 Chronicles 6:30 then hear from heaven, your dwelling place. Forgive, and deal with each man according to all he does, since you know his heart (for you alone know the hearts of men),

Forgive because they all understand the heart of man. Solomon had every confidence that Jehovah feels and knows what he was going through

1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Throw all anxiety onto God because he cares. Jehovah provides deliverance from pain and stress. Its renewed or taken away and the speaker says they are given strength to endure.

David alliance combined with personal effort helped. Its imperative that they take their problems to Jehovah in prayer for God to balance out their troubles.

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Jehovah does not always answer prayers in the ways expected.

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Temptation is an opportunity to prove their loyalty to Jehovah God.

Paul has been a Jehovah’s witness for 20 years and has 3 children in "truth". He has had 20 years of insulin diabetics with 5 injections each day and a strict control on his diet. His daughter was disfellowshipped and this to him was worse then death unless they repent then that is it at least with death you would see them again. He has been raising his grandson for the last 4 years but he doesn’t let if effect what they are feeling and they are close to Jehovah in prayer.

Sister Maria became very ill 5 years ago. She was house bound then hospitalized. She was made redundant but later found a job. Mother died a year later and then her brother dies just after that and then her brother in law died. She cried and felt people did not care. Routine helped her attend assemblies only Jehovah and relationship with him carried her through.

Like David put trust in Jehovah so must all of them

Psalm 55:16-17 But I call to God,
    and the LORD saves me.

    Evening, morning and noon
    I cry out in distress,
    and he hears my voice.

Psalm 55:22 Cast your cares on the LORD
    and he will sustain you;
he will never let the righteous fall.

    4:00
the role of angels in rendering "public service"

Do not be afraid there are more then with them

Revelations 5:11 Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders.

Arch angel Michael was the 1st bigoted son of God all other angels are created through him.

Angels were used to create the universe and were in applause, we need their support

Are angels really interesting in us today?

Hebrews 1:14 4Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

In what way are they spirits of public service? They aid and protect and help succeed when repenting sins.

Revelations 14:6 hen I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people.

They give everlasting good news. Angels are involved directly with work. Protectors of Jehovah’s people.

In what ways does Jehvoah use angels to show his presence.

Jehovah saved large groups in Exodus Israelites out of Egypt. Exodus 23 "I am sending my angel before you2 reference to Michael who then became Jesus Christ.

Accounts to them to angels comfort no fear more with us then with them . He sent one angel and in one day everything was sorted. Daniel in the Lions den.

They gave protection to Jesus before and after temptation and just before his death. They have enemies but angels are camping and caring for us.

How can They be sure that angels are protecting today?

Like it says in Hebrews 1:13 ministry is what Satan will try to wipe out, mighty forces will try and wipe them out but they didn’t succeed because Jehovah God is looking out for them .

They have opportunity to male Gods heart glad

    Proverbs 27:11 Be wise, my son, and bring joy to my heart;
then I can answer anyone who treats me with contempt.

He sent angels to rescue Stephen and apostle James gave amazing display when they were martyrs. They can not expect Angels to help us with certain things as they only do the will of their father Jehovah. They can not be absolutely sure what they are doing as they are invisible but they are protecting.

The last talk was Symposium Jehovah "Provider of escape" but the notes are at my sisters house and i havent written them up, it is the longest one around a hour if i remember rightly so i will put the Symposium seperate! It should be good as a seperate piece i just thought i would put this on for now hope it is helpful to someone or everyone in some way

Wow, kimoko! You took some detailed notes. I have to admit I don't have the stomach to read them and comment.

Amazing that you sat through a whole day of that junk. I have a hard time just reading the notes. I start to remember how I felt imprisioned in my seat listening to their redundant babble for hours. In the early years of my involvement, I used to get so discouraged listening to the "experiences". All these stalwart witnesses who were able to overcome great hardships and still pioneer or whatever it was that they said they did. Then you find out that they've been coached, that many of their so-called experiences are made up or exaggerated. You come to realize that its all one big propaganda fest.

Are you using some of this to write a report for a class?

I enjoyed reading your convention experience, kimoko.

It gave me such a peaceful, easy feeling.

I can now sleep without any fears.

    Thanks again.

Checking out your notes brings back memories of convention imprisonment: keep focused on the speaker, do not allow distractions to impede your concentration, refrain from using the facilities unless necessary (?!?!?), no talking while walking in the corridors during the program, bring your own meals...do not purchase meals from outside vendors/restaurants, return to your seat during the musical interlude, wear your ID badges ALWAYS --- talk about robotic!

What is wrong with this picture? Jean learned from a convention how to be a decent sister! Jesus Christ! It says it all! "worldly" people dont need to go to conventions to learn how to be a friend or sibling or spouse!

Meagan - that was excellent - I really enjoyed reading your perspective especiallyu yoru introduction as you got to the convention. You could be a reporter!

Karl - you have cool friends! And one day I hope your mum knows how you enlisted such good friends to try and save her from the borg.

crumpet is very proud of you two!

I understand it completely i can only just stomach it and i wrote the thing! i find my brain exhausted when i read it. It was worse when i was there coz i felt emotionally drained like i couldnt take anything lol i ended up crying and bein all sad and stuff. When i was there it was worse coz it was overwhelming and you get consumed by it coz they put so much structure to it!

Are you using some of this to write a report for a class?

Hey Luna i dont know if to apologise but im sorry if it brought back bad memories and even as a christen i felt pretty bad that they were all getting these amazing break throughs as Jehovahs Witnesses but then i had to realise that they are coached by lies and i felt sorry for them coz they were thinkin that they had done amazing which in some cases they had but it was so for the wrong reason. Oh and i might be using parts for my college work but i really did it to understand karl more and to be able to understand it more then i can help him,

very good megan, right i said i was off to bed in another thread lol so nite folks.

Thanks karlos ^^ But erm didnt you say you were goin to bed at like 1am? lol! I ended up goin to sleep at like 3 when i was like night everyone at 2....

That was one of the things that got me really bad! i was like omg! its really over the top and stuff as if fresh air will stop the brainwashings effect, its like they are all like robots like you said!

So what were your thought on the things you heard?

That it is a load of bollocks in simple terms? haha. I think that they focus to much on proving things with scriptures as if they need to, It focuses to much on Knowledge rather then feeling. When i have gone to a Christian holiday it was more free and enjoying God. Like with the Kingdom melodies it felt like i was back at traditional church with the hyme books but at spring harvest the christian holiday there was so much feeling and Gods presence but there ob there wasnt and it had no energy and i felt really sorry for them there were no overwhelming feelings of joy just sadness. i think they contridict themselves alot and also that they have no sense of spiritual growth it is all knowledge. I really didnt like it!

:) Thanks Crumpet ^____^ The Jean and Eleanor one really pissed me off aswell! it just doesnt make sense. Also the one where the father would rather see his child dead then leave the witnessing...it really upset me that part! A reporter? thanks Crumpet ^^ I just really enjoy writing haha and this was a another excuse to do so haha! And yea i hope that i can help karl save his mum it would really be a happy day and such an privalage to help her!

haha talk about writing a essay again! i just wanted to write back to people personally!!
